Well as of Feb 1st they hadn't built but 691 track package cars. 34 in orange.. 66 in blue. The real rare cars will be the base models. Nobody knows what values will be like 30 yrs from now. But having a rare vehicle will certainly increase the potential for a car holding it's value one would think.
That's like saying the 65 mustang with a 6 cylinder and 3 speed is more valuable than a "K" code 289 with a 4 speed. The track/tech cars that are equipped with the magnaride suspension, heavy duty springs, coolers (track) will always be more valuable than a car that does not have these performance enhancing options. All of these cars are GT350s, and their future value, if any, will be determined by how they are equipped.

For the 2017 MY, even Ford is admitting that the car should have been equipped with all the performance options in the first place (shocks, springs, coolers, spoilers, etc.); it is a much better car with them, rather than without them.

Geez! My brain hurts. Just when I thought it couldn't get more complicated there are 16 pages of threads!

I own a 2016 GT350 w tech pack. Someone please tell me...

Is there anything "important" the 2017 will have that i don't already have?

I know I can get a Synch update so I can use Car Play later this year.

It gets the options of the 2016 Track Pack as standard for 2017.

Engine, Tranny and diff cooler. Although all models have an engine cooler, not sure if the track pack cooler is better.

I think Ford will do the same as Dodge with the Hellcat. They added a bunch of options and upped the price to match. And I had one of the first Hellcats, but it was loaded.

I could not be happier with my 16 Tech package and the aftermarket will take care of the cooling issues if I end up road racing it. Autox will not be n issue at all.

I have my car now and life is short so I have no need to wait and I did not.....Life is good.....Steve
I'd fully expect the new base price in 17 to be what it is today + track pack. I'd be highly surprised if base msrp was less than 54k.

No its more like saying a fox coupe with a 5 speed is more valuable than a hatch car. They are, I would know as I profited nicely on one.

I also just sold another car that was a 2006 model, zero options and it too is a performamce car that had a higher end model with more options yet it brought just 4k less than its original msrp with 61,000 miles on it. When the base car ends up around 500 units one year only in 1 year only colors etc. I can't help but think down the road it'll bring better money than a car they made several thousand units of. If an owner down the road wants to track the car it wouldn't be hard to outfit coolers by that time. If I weren't getting a 2017 I would have strongly considered a base.

My thoughts are that, given the info we now have it would have been best if I had waited. However I waited for a very long time to get my car. I would have ordered a '17 in Lightning Blue (as it's closer in hue to Liquid Blue) and get the Nav. But truth be told I don't use the shitty Nav system in my '12 Ram, I use Waze on my phone. So it is what it is and I'm still very pleased with my car:

Given all the ADMs that dealers are doing, making big bucks. I would be shocked if Ford didn't decide to increase their profit margin a chunk by raising the prices on these cars 5%+ across the board. The 2017 still sounds like it will be a performance bargain, but I for one am very happy with my 2016 and have no regrets for not waiting.

Those of you who purchase a 2017, congrats you have an amazing car. Those of you with 2015 & 2016s congrats even sooner!

I'd drive it. :) if I hadnt waited to sell my car instead of trading I'd have been in a dib tp car.

Exactly. A Shelby GT350 is a Shelby GT350 - I don't care what kind of radio it has that's not what i'm after. For the tech package guys that are born again track rats just add some cooling.
