New Car Dipstick Oil Level

I have a question on the oil level on a new Mach 1. Did you check on your new car and where was the level on the dipstick? Mine is more to the middle of the hash mark or maybe even slightly below that. Should I add 1/2 QT or leave it. 295 miles on the car. Thanks!

You can add half quart, I would if its below the middle. Wont matter until its below the bottom of the hash though. Its at a fine place for now just check it every few hundred miles and keep it above minimum.

Oil level anywhere between the hash marks is fine.
Too low is bad. Too high is bad.

I have noticed mine is at the top hole when filled with 8 qts and empty oil filter. When I run the engine to check for leaks, wait 10 min it is halfway between the marks. This is where Ford calls it full.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I would also like to know a comparison from someone that checked the level when new.

New will be between the holes. They have a machine that fills 10 qts with a dry filter.
