I got to drive one the other day and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed. Car and Driver ran 0-60 in 3.8 and it did the 1/4 mile in 12.0@ 121mph. How can this be when this car is similar weight to the Mustang GT manual and with only 13hp more per rating. I have to say this thing flies. I noticed no, none, zero turbo lag. The front of the car is growing on me and to be honest there is no comparison as far as build quality and interior. As it should be as this car is over $20k more than fully loaded Mustang GT premium. The thing is it leases pretty good compared to buying a Mach 1. I like to lease as I get the tax write off as I am self-employed.

The manual tranny shifter was typical BMW meaning a little rubbery, just like my E92 M3 was and my previous E46 M3s. The Mustang even with its Getrag MT82D4 feel is much better as was the sound. I will say it did sound better than the older F8X cars but still not a V8.

I bought my 2020 Mustang GT 300a PP car for just $38k on got 0 percent financing for 72 mos. I actually have about $6-8K equity in the car. Kind of torn...love the Mustang but I am itching to get back into a M car again.

Was there an ADM on it? There is on all the M's near me right now.

Different engine than the M4 but my M240i has zero turbo lag as well. It pulls nicely and is fun to drive.

If I ordered the car they told me they would do MSRP. In stock cars were $5k over.

I looked into buying one before the Mach 1.
Way more than $20k over a Loaded GT or even a Mach 1
Factor in Tax and Maintenance, way more $ to own!

Maintenance is free the first 4 years. The one I would order would have a MSRP of $73k. How is this way more than $20K. Something else to keep in mind, these things get way better fuel economy than the Mustang. Not to mention with the lease I get to write a lot of the payment off as I am self-employed.

Also these Mustang builds don't even include the Recaros.

So you're getting it completely stripped down with no amenities?

I have a 20' M4, my 5th M. Its a company car and is tuned with some other minor work. 520 to the wheels and is a fun driver. Can't go wrong with a 22' if you can get past the front end. Tough market to buy any auto unless you have good connection.

The stock seats are fine, don't care about the ceramic brakes and the car already has nav, good 460watt stereo, it comes with their version of Magnaride. Not to mention I want a manual. Which is a bummer you can't get the competition model unless you want the 8 spd auto. They come pretty well appointed standard.

I got quoted $899 per month with $5k down as it pretty much is a base M4. The most expensive option is the 19"/20" wheels. I get some loyalty discounts but it didn't amount to much it was like $1k.

I will probably wait when the LCI comes out in another year or so.

Looks like cooled seats and heated steering wheel are also options for another $2k
Don't get me wrong, not trying to argue but when it's all said and done these German cars are just way more $ man. I want one but just need to put my kid through college first... lol

Definitely order your car. You get it as you want, not how the dealership spec'd it. Especially when spending that amount of money.
I've ordered a bunch of my vehicles. It's the way to go if you can wait for delivery.

Good luck. I do like the M cars myself. I've been eyeing the '22 X5 M50i for a while now. What a beastly machine. Would love the X5M, but need the awd for driving to work in the winter mess.
