If one was in the market for a manual sedan, G80 M3 is looking appealing IMO. Nothing else like it on the market.

The M3 is horrible looking with that grill. Same for the M4.

The base M4 price is $70k, vs a base GT350 msrp of $60.4k. With options, obviously the price of the M4 climbs pretty steeply. That said, I built a minimally optioned M4 competition that would msrp for $75k. That said, the GT350 will perform about the same as the M4 in a straight line, maybe silghtly quicker manual vs manual, and beat the M4 around a track. The M4 is only about as quick around a track as a GT PP1, without MagneRide. The M4 competition may be slightly quicker, but I don't recall exactly.

Anyway, I'm not doggin' the M4 - I think they are nice cars. The GT350 is more special, though.

New M4 out drag races the GT350. The Auto M4C with AWD will crush the GT350.

An A10 GT does the same. Kind of a pointless metric to compare on a car designed for track use, not the drag strip. How does that M4C do against a base GT500? Not well.

Drag racing a GT350 huh? And you love those AWD cars?

The M4 straight six sounds terrible and the interior buttons are really cheap feeling for such an expensive car. The driving experience is just not fun compared to any V8 manual transmission Mustang. And BMWs are very over-priced for what you get.

The M2 competition is somewhat compelling because it's a smaller, sportier size. However I just couldn't live with the engine noises. Gross.

I am just glad that in 2021 we still have such a large group of performance vehicles to pick from.
