Awesome! Can't wait to get it out on a track. Thanks for sharing the info. Nice. Light is the bomb. Enjoy the responsive aspects. I'm at 19.5# and love it.
Well I haven't been on the track yet... actually just took them for the first drive a minute ago. Turn-in does feel more aggressive to me. Changing direction has a little bit more immediacy than I remember with the factory wheels. At least that's my impression so far.No one asked about how they drive. Can you tell them apart from factory wheels?
And you are comparing them to CF wheels or regular wheels?Well I haven't been on the track yet... actually just took them for the first drive a minute ago. Turn-in does feel more aggressive to me. Regular wheels that are about 26lbs ea.And you are comparing them to CF wheels or regular wheels?
Thanks for posting. Reminded me that "mag wheels" used to be the thing, but they seem to have faded away. Never thought about it or wondered why, so I just looked it up. Seems the old mag wheels would corrode easily, which paved the way for alluminum. However, they may be making a comeback. Assume there must have been a fix for the corrosion problem. If so, there will probably be lot of affordable, light-weight options ahead.
Nm - I first thought it was an R - as it seems people are quick to swap wheels these daysI hope not
They aren't cheap wheels - but none of the good options are very cheap, really. At least we aren't having the Facebook argument about how he should have bought FR500 reps for $599 a set.Thier falling out of common use might also have something to do with them costing $6300.
I actually didn't have stock wheels on there. I've had the LMR R-style wheels on there for a few years. I believe they were around 25-28lbs if I recall.Aren't the regular non-R wheels more like 32lbs? So you basically knocked nearly 60lbs of weight off your car!
