After months of going back and forth with Patrick from litespeed (amazing guy by the way) on offsets, color, style, etc - I finally received my magnesium litespeed RS5 matte bronze wheels today.

They came in at a staggering 16.8 lb... Which I believe may be even a tad bit lighter than the carbon fiber R wheels? Not too hard on the eyes either, if you ask me.

They look good mounted on the 350 hub, nice and open.

They look very nice. Can you give us a rough idea what a set costs and how long was the wait to get them? Again, VERY nice color combo IMO.

Thanks for posting. Reminded me that "mag wheels" used to be the thing, but they seem to have faded away. Never thought about it or wondered why, so I just looked it up. Seems the old mag wheels would corrode easily, which paved the way for alluminum. However, they may be making a comeback. Assume there must have been a fix for the corrosion problem. If so, there will probably be lot of affordable, light-weight options ahead.

Same here. No idea why they faded.

I saw that litespeed did a lot of work with higher end exotics, so that's what got me looking into them again.

It seems litespeed have some pretty intense priming and color coating processes... hopefully those resist corrosion well.

I had a set of callaway mag wheels on my 1989 corvette. The mag wheels have a special primer on them. The problem is you cannot powercoat them they have to be hand stripped and you have to put this special primer on them to seal them. You can only paint them and when they bend you cry cannot fix mag wheels and if you can the cost will be in the stars........Great looking wheels you got there enjoy them.

Wow... Very cool you had them on your 89. How did they work out for you? How many years of use did you get before you had to replace them?

Wow that is actually a very reasonable price, to be honest! Looks great and now there is a new option for weight obsessives! I feel like the GT3RS and 2RS had magnesium wheels as options so it seems like a safe option with the modern manufacturing processes.

OP - if they were made in factory R sizes, then they are 11" F and 11.5" R.
