Anyone else notice the hose laying directly on the valve cover? I followed the instructions on the number of turns for the fitting (4). The only way I see the hose not touching is one less turn but the o-ring does not seat until 3.5 turns.

On SAE oring fittings, the nut is usually free to turn, so you put the elbow on the angle you want, them tighten the nut until the oring is compressed.

Yes, the nut was free turning. 4 turns points the fitting in the desired direction and the jam is tightened and all it good. It's just the hose could clear the valve cover if the fitting sat just a tad higher. Maybe this aftermarket one is a hair shorter than the original? I doubt it but maybe.
That's why I would like to know if other's hose lays on the valve cover or if it is up just enough to clear it.
In the end the only issue that might occur is a scuffed plastic valve cover from the hose rubbing on it.

I think she's #685, Jaime...glad you liked that one. I didn't check but I THINK I've used her before but a lower rez version..she looked very familiar. Maybe Tom can confirm or deny. Too many to check.
