The unique part is the o-ring, the jam nut to lock it in place, and flange on the part the hose connects to. I’m guessing they engineered it with the o-ring and flange on the hose connector part due to pressure being generated under the valve covers.

Pretty close. Just find the right thread.
Winner winner chicken dinner. That looks exactly the same. Like you said, just get the thread count. At $4 each I am pretty sure the Ford markup would be a lot more.

3/8” ID looks like for the hose inside diameter. Guessing this one if the thread count is right.
Ordered with 2 day shipping worth $19 total to find out.

4601-06-064601-06-06 - 90° Elbow, 3/8" Hose Barb x #6 SAE/ORB

Found another one but it is sliver like the original not gold looking like the one I just ordered. This site lists the thread count as 9/16-18.

It's probably just pipe threads, don't get hung up on the exact replacement.
It’s not pipe thread for sure. It’s why you have an o-ring for sealing. Also the length of the part that screw in the valve cover is critical because you have a 1 way silicone valve at the bottom of the valve cover hole

I like to disassemble things.
Don't screw around. Contact PAS and get the exact part.

This is the plug that’s in there now.
If it’s not an exact match, I will continue the search. It is 9/16.

Thank you very much for the offer. The part is steel. Once I receive it, I will be able to determine the actual color. I don't see how it would make a difference in the end, I just noticed in the pictures one looks to be silver like the original and the other appears to have a yellow finish.

The directions state to turn the fitting 4 times and stop when the fitting is facing the engine on the 4th turn (according to the picture in the directions, not facing the fender), then tighten the jam nut. I imagine that is to stop at the proper depth and not go to far and damage the silicone valve.

Direct quote from the directions:

"Step 16. Install 90 deg fitting. Fitting should be hand tightened 4 turns and aligned as shown.

Step 16. Disconnect VCT electrical connector to gain tool clearance for tightening the 90 deg fitting jam nut."

I found a typo. Step 16 is repeated and step 15 is skipped. The directions go from step 14 to two step 16s then step 17.

Thanks everyone for the assistance. I am confident now that I will be able to find a exact direct replacement part. Apparently hydraulic fittings was the key in the search.

I see I'm late to the party. Just to confirm, It's an SAE O-ring Boss hydraulic fitting. The come in various sizes, SAE-4 is 7/16-20 thread, SAE-6 is 9/16-18.

What size is the hose barb side?

I measured the ID of the hose that goes on the barb and it appears to be 3/8" ID.
This one appears to be the one. It is SAE-6 9/16-18, 3/8" hose fitting.

Looks like a match as far appearance just need the barb and thread count to be good. The barb length appears to be longer on the original but the other could be a stock photo and not necessarily the correct size.
