Hi guys, I have a pp1 car with Ford performance lowering springs. I don't track my car but live in Oregon where there is no shortage of fun back roads. It's also my daily so can't go too stiff. Anyway my problem with the current set up is the front end always feels light even under heavy breaking before a turn. To make matters worse I'm not getting a lot feedback through the steering wheel in corners. I tried sport steering but that just makes it heavy and numb. Tires are 285 4s and they feel great, rear has BMR lockout and end links, I know more about what's going on in the back then the front. Any ideas on how to plant the front end and get some feel from the steering? Thanks

Check that your alignment is good first. Second, after lowering the car I had the best improvement in steering feel, feedback, and response by installing Steeda’s roll center and bump steer kit. Proper dampers would be a close third...maybe even a tie for second.

Which Ford Performance springs do you have? The street or the track springs? The latter is stiffer and therefore has better handling.

I bought the street springs. The never felt great, but I think weight of the Whipple is overwhelming the suspension, because it had definitely gotten worse

Probably. With more weight on the front, it certainly could. You need stiffer springs and better dampers IMO. The street springs are soft.
I would go to BMR SP083 and either FP track dampers or Bilstein. With the BMR springs it will drop less up front (and overall) and increase body roll control over what you have now. That along with better dampers to control will help a lot.
Then get the Steeda lateral arms and bumpsteer kit. It will correct the front end geometry to make it work properly. The steering will improve noticeably also because of this.

This is basically my setup. Whipple, SP083s, FRPP track shocks and struts, GT350R front bar, Steeda lateral and tension links, roll center kit, and at the back I have the RLCA and toe bearings and the CB005 bits. Originally I had SP763 springs (which are not far off from the FRPP street springs) on PP shocks/struts and it was definitely less confidence inspiring than it is now.

Any issues with the steeda kit on a drag set up?
