No idea. However, it did give me an insight on the OEM-Franchise "relationship".18 Month wait! Is this a record?
I'm not sure about the 'several weeks of shutdown' I know of cars built in November and mine was December. The only thing I can think is car colour may have been an issue - what did you get ? I remember ordering a Mondeo in one colour and waiting for ages with no build date, changed it to another colour and got a build date within a weekNo idea. However, it did give me an insight on the OEM-Franchise "relationship".
Staff at Warwick were friendly and would always be helpful, so I won't complain.
Ford cancelled my 18MY order, last year, so it was back to square-1, in June 18.
Build was tentatively estimated in October, but was slipped into Jan 19.
Several weeks plant shut down, during the last 9 weeks of 18 didn't help.
But I've got my car now, so I'm happy I've now obtained my car.
Feels surreal, after over a year of pictures, videos, congratulating others on getting their cars. I now have a Mustang!!
Wow!

Etis does not show gate release, should of already happened as it takes about a week as long as there are no problems, probably already at the docks by now, waiting for a shipAccording to the window sticker, mine had a blend date of 23rd Jan...but when the build date finally appeared on Etis it had been built on 13th Feb (and Etis was updated the following day). Etis has updated a bit more in the meantime (e.g suspension details added) but still showing no gate release date. For those of you who were avid Etis-watchers, how long did it take for the gate release date to appear, after build date and how "retrospective" was it? (i.e. it's now over a month since the build date so hard to see how it can take over a month to tweak a few components...)

Was just wondering whether your car has been affected by the steering wheel shortage ? https://eu.freep.com/story/money/ca...-no-steering-wheels-mexico-strike/2984225002/According to the window sticker, mine had a blend date of 23rd Jan...but when the build date finally appeared on Etis it had been built on 13th Feb (and Etis was updated the following day). Interesting. The dates line up - and the downtime would explain why 23rd Jan became 13th Feb. If normal supplies were resumed 25th Feb then hopefully I should have 5 wheels on my wagon by nowWas just wondering whether your car has been affected by the steering wheel shortage ? https://eu.freep.com/story/money/ca...-no-steering-wheels-mexico-strike/2984225002/
I've not done any real digging so I could be barking up the wrong tree.

Hi. Don't hold your breath. Mine was built exactly a month before yours and I believe it's still waiting for a ship. The latest status is "pending update". I only know this as a forum member in the US is able to track it though even he is having difficulty knowing exactly what's going on. I've been told by the dealer collection is 6/4 so maybe it's already on a ship. I'm not that bothered tbh. So long as it turns up before July which would be a year from order. Any longer is unacceptable especially if the car was actually built six months before!Checked with the dealer, and the response back was that it "hasn't been released from the factory yet due to final quality checks". Since you could rebuild the car at least 5-6 times in the month it's been sitting around post-build, I guess it's most likely due to missing parts like the steering wheel (which, of course, Ford said had all been resolved weeks ago...). Still find it amusing (or should that be bemusing?) that Ford seem able to make such hard work of building a mass-produced car that's already had the initial rush of orders. BMW can turn around a car in 8 weeks from order to collection, Ford take 6+ months...
Honestly no idea. There are plenty of people on here who ordered after me who already have their cars. The process seems to be completely random. I can't even moan at the dealer as they seem to have no influence whatsoever until the car physically gets unloaded at liverpool. You could be one of the lucky onesSo mine has a blend date of March 11th and ETIS has updated the colour at this time. Does this mean that the estimated delivery of April 27th is a load of crap then?
Probably best to expect two months from build date to delivery. That seems to be the norm and certainly what I experienced. So mine has a blend date of March 11th and ETIS has updated the colour at this time. Does this mean that the estimated delivery of April 27th is a load of crap then?
