Rather than start a new thread I'd thought I'd update this one with my spoiler upgrade...
I spec'd my previous Mustang (GT) with the large rear spoiler. The Mach 1 is easily a much better car overall but from day 1 I missed that rear wing.
Once the GT500 wing was made available for UK...
My UK owners manual specifies 0W30 WSS-M2C950-A (page 260) however the filler cap has 5W30 printed on it. Also I didn't receive the Mach 1 supplemental that is linked earlier in this thread.
Since I was passing my dealer yesterday I thought I'd grab 1L of oil. Parts dept were helpful but believed that I needed 5W20. I showed them an extract from the Mach 1 supplement which indicated 5w30 was probably what I ought to have. They had some, but a different Ford spec code. I gave...
Surprisingly the new part arrived pretty quickly, 10 days was about right. I had planned to fit it myself however the car goes back to the dealer for another look at the rear end as it’s still leaking. Whilst its there for that, they’re going to fit it for me.
Thanks for the part #, Mach 1 is at the dealer today so ordered the part this morning. Was given a rough lead time of 10 days and was told there was one in Germany….
Update...I didn't get to speak with the Tech so all I know at this stage is a new seal is required on the diff. It's on order and the dealer seemed pretty confident that the part will be with them at the beginning of August (I've been told that its fine to drive in the meantime).
The Mach 1 is the only vehicle that parks in this spot. I've probably got about 300 miles on it now and it looks like I've sprung a leak ? 90% of the time I back in so it appears to be coming from the rear of the vehicle. It's booked into the dealer Friday morning at 8am, I'll report back with...
Ouch..that looks nasty.
Makes mine seem very minor. From your photo it appears the chin spoiler is two parts (upper and lower). I didn’t notice this in my cursory look. If it is two parts are they both peculiar to the M1 ?
Unfortunately I’ve managed to pick up some damage to my chin spoiler. I’m guessing a rock maybe ? It’s pretty small but I’ll probably look to replace. Does anyone know the part no ? I’ll be visiting my dealer but you guys on here are way more helpful.
Thanks,
Had I spec'd the car I probably would have gone with FJG, however I also really liked OW. VB is still a great colour though. I probably have about 200 miles on the car now and the transmission is bedding in nicely.
Totally agree, the Tremec is fantastic. I haven't owned a MT car since 2006...
