Carwow's an easy route to a 5%ish discount (which implies there's more to be had if you're a decent haggler). Average stealer will say they can't do better than 3-figure discounts (and even then only if you push really hard), which is obviously b*llox as you can (and I just did) get over 15% (not including deposit contribution) off a 5-series BMW from a dealer 5 minutes up the road from the offending Ford dealer... I'm sure the margin on a Mustang is similarly generous....

I managed to secure a very good discount on the MY19 I have on order. I also didn't fully spec mine as I feel the custom packs are not good value, so just went with what I would use and want. Overall it is costing me the same monthly as the 2017 that is being traded in with a small deposit.

It wasn't for the 1st gen S550's however. Dealers got a flat ÂŁ500 per car with no discounts allowed, which explains why many of them couldn't be ar5ed. They weren't on the brokers books then either. Things seem to have changed for MY19.

I’ve seen 3 used pre 18 Mustangs on local dealer used car lots this last week. Guess they’ve traded for an 18/19
