These are my 1st impressions of the MY19 compared to my previous MY16 Mustang

Have to say build quality, looks vastly improved, along with shut lines, the car feels and looks like it has been put together, not thrown together like the MY16

Exterior, I know this is going to be controversial but I like the new look of the front end, to me it looks more aggressive, also very pleased to have working tri-bars this time round along with hood vents, now onto the rear end, the rear lights seem whiter, but maybe that’s just me, but they contrast very well with NFG, to honest lights all round seem to be brighter, I am also very pleased that I added the rear spoiler as I always wanted to fit one to my other Mustang, then there are the quad tip exhaust looks amazing, I will get to the sound later on.

Interior looks improved over the MY16 in some areas, but mostly the same in others, obviously the biggest improvements are the digital dash, beautiful bit of kit, loads of settings to play with and change, the B&O system is vastly improved over the Shaker system a lot louder and crisper and vastly improved bass line, just to give you a idea, I used to have the Shaker system on 15, the B&O is on 4 and let’s not forget it has Sync 3 which is a vast improvement over Sync2 and a lot more user friendly. Steering wheel looks thicker but still has that cheap leather feel that they fitted on the MY16, the handbrake gaiter in comparison has some stunning leather on it, nice and soft. They still have that brushed aluminium dash but not as flat a finish this time round, never been a fan but will see if I prefer this finish or I will get it dipped again time will tell, I found the stock seat on MY16 very comfortable but the Recaros are just as good if not slightly better, but they do hug you a bit more so you don’t feel like you are sliding out of the seat when cornering, Its a shame you had to lose heating and cooling though.

On to the drive train, the manual gearbox, gear changes are smoother along with being more precise, a vast improvement over the old box, gears do feel longer though but engine does also feel like it has more power, but I am still taking it relatively steady at the moment

Now onto the exhaust, it’s just a dream, this is how the 15-17 should of sounded very impressive deep growl and that’s just on normal, gets even better on sport and track, the system even has a quite mode that you can set so you don’t wake the neighbours, next thing to mention is Rev matching, if you don’t like attention then you might want to switch this off, as every time you down shift it blips the throttle and my god this doesn’t half make a noise with this exhaust, the 1st time this happened was slowing down to go into a petrol station, everyone was looking at you, as I came down from top going through every gear so if the colour doesn’t draw there attention then this definitely will :cwl:

Magneride seems to smooth things out, there seems to be a lot less body movement all round, but I need more time to play with this.

Obviously I am going to love my new Mustang, but I can honestly say things have improved since they built the MY16, which can only me a good thing :like:

Car does look good from the photos you've taken - I think the 19 looks good when not looking directly front on. I am jealous of the exhaust settings, heard an 18 go past and sounded great. Must say though not a fan of the spoiler, especially where the stripes do not go over it. I would say mechanically the 19 is a better car, value for money the 15 is better and design wise I prefer the 18 from rear and sides but prefer 15 from the front

The question that everyone's wanting to ask, is it worth the ÂŁ10k more ? :)

Green stitching on the seats would have finished it perfectly !
As you say a nice set Bullitt Recaros with the green stitching would look great

Good question, I didn’t pay 10k more, but for how much I payed more than my MY16, the answer is Yes, got to say it’s a vast improvement over the 16, the bit that have impressed me most so far is the exhaust, beautiful sound, Rev matching, Recaros, digital dash, Magneride, engine has more power, gear change on gearbox has improved, B@O sound system, tri bar running lights, to name just a few :)
When I sold my 16 I wondered if I was doing the right thing and now I know I did the right thing

You also have to remember that since 2015 the pound has lost 15% of it's value relative to the dollar so actually it is only about ÂŁ6k more.

I didn't buy a 2015 because it wasn't the fully polished item as far as I was concerned - I'm awaiting delivery of my 2019 !

Wow there was rumours they were going to cost nearly ÂŁ50k, but if they're only ÂŁ6k more than the ÂŁ36k MY16, that's still pretty reasonable for those improvements :like:

Well ÂŁ46k to ÂŁ47k depending on options of which ÂŁ4k of the difference is exchange rate. So yes they have gone up by ÂŁ10k but only just over half is down to Ford.

If you shop around there are discounts available as the Mustang has a healthy margin on it
