Used to be dead easy in my C6 Vette as the cigar lighter socket was always live so I used the appropriate CTEK connector - much easier than rummaging around in the engine bay. Sadly on the Mustang (like most cars) the cigar lighter socket seems to be on/off with the ignition so not an option...

I'd only worry about OEM if you have a HUD, which we don't - on my wife's 5-series the non-OEM screens made the HUD dull and fuzzy as they weren't properly silvered (even though they were tagged as HUD versions). Otherwise glass is glass. You also have to proactively chase LV if you want OEM...

68-plate Bullitt, middle-lane of the M3 southbound at about 7:30 this morning - I was the Ruby GT convertible. Looked very clean (unlike mine) but thought it was black until I got up close - guess they need sunlight to show up the green. Was on my way to a near-29 mpg average for the journey...

Is this one of those cases where it may be easier to start with an A10 GT and respray and add parts to turn into a Bullitt-alike? Cosmetic stuff is usually a lot less potential grief than electronics....

I went for the A10, and in D it works really well. In S, it's a bit too frantic for my liking...and in paddle-shift mode there are just too many gears - you spend your whole life flapping paddles for no obvious benefit, and from rest it's really tedious because it insists on starting in 1st...
