Yes, I have plenty of NVH with this setupšŸ˜‚, but it’s a dedicated bracket car that’s never driven on the street.

11.18 at 126.
Upcoming mods before this season starts will be single aluminum driveline, Cobra Jet manifold, VMP throttle body, Baer front drag brake kit, resonator delete and another dyno tune by Kaiser Motorsports in Tacoma WA. Hope to have a solid 10 sec bracket car.

I think you’ll definitely have a 10sec. bracket car after the next round of mods. What’s your current power level?

451 RWHP on E85. I’ll be posting my upcoming dyno results in March.

Is your car a 3.55 w/a Torsten?

Its certainly qwik.
Have u stripped any wt# from it, or had it on scales?
I specifically ordered it with the 3.55 Trac-lok. It’s a base model GT. I haven’t had it on scales yet. Back seat delete kit and passenger seat is out.

Will you run a footbrake only class up your way?
So your not racing against transbrake cars...
Race in 2 different class’s…..Modern Muscle and the NHRA Pro class(9.0-13.99)…..no limit on how the cars launch. We race against everything.

Great setup! I'm looking forward to seeing the results. That should be an every-pass 10sec car once it's all dialed in.

I have a couple of quick questions for you. Did you install the BMR upper shock mounts too or stay with factory? How bad is the NVH on a scale of 1-10?

I have a magneride car and was looking at some Viking Triple Inverted Drag Shocks for my car. Was wondering if the upper mounts would need to be changed. Thank you.

I still have OEM shock mounts. As far as NVH….my license plate is ā€œNVHx2ā€šŸ˜‚ …..but my GT is a dedicated bracket car. I’d hate to daily it with everything I’ve done to the rear ended. I’d say every piece you add for drag racing will alter the NVH.
Just spoke to Kelly(Kelltrac) this morning….I’m gonna go with the inverted double adjustable and sell my Viking Crusaders.

What components do you think attributed to the high level of NVH? Are you just getting clunking with the components you have, vibration only or both? I have just about every rear suspension component I can add (except shocks, sway bar and springs) and my NVH is on the very low end of the scale.

I wouldn’t say it’s extreme….it’s just very noticeable. No vibration….just some noise and clunking, it’s definitely more stiff. Billet differential inserts definitely added some noise.
