Ordered 28x11.5-17 ET Street R bias plys. Looking for some opinions on the budget 17x9 wheels I see around. Keeping the PP stockers up front for now. I may go to the 18x5 racestar up front at some point, but swapping 4 wheels at the track isn't something I'm too interested in (135 mile drive).

I'm torn between the all black bullitt, the machined lip black bullitt, the all black 03/04 cobra, or possibly the machined lip black FR500. Links below to see all. Pretty sure they all fit from a specs standpoint without grinding caliper (positive on the bullitts) and are about the same weight (22-23lbs).

If anyone has any variation of these on their car with the bias ET's, let's see them!

I think I'm going to run 17x9 FR500 in all black. pretty sure they will match my blackout package front's. I also don't want to change 4wheels at the track.

Don't forget this one - https://www.lethalperformance.com/jms-05-2016-mustang-17x10-avenger-style-wheel-polished.html

It's a 10" but it will work fine. The fronts are reasonable also. Or do like some have done and find a pair of spare rims at a junk yard and mount them up with a skinny pair of tires. Light weight, and hokey looking, but if cheap is the direction and you want a front setup as well try that.
Really wanted to stick to 17x9, but yeah ET R bias range is 8-10", they'll work. However, JMS doesn't make a matching front runner that will clear the PP brakes. The 17x4.5 will not. Not that it matters in the short term I suppose... I'll have to give them some consideration.

Wasn't aware of the front non conform. I personally just run a rear setup since I only go about 3-4 times a season to make a few passes. And I have always avoided PP brakes because of the lesser choice of wheels. Not a cone tipper personally so if those big stock brakes don't stop me trapping 130+ there's always the cat box at the end.

I just ordered a pair of the 17x9 black Bullit wheels & MT dr's earlier for my 2019. Im glad I looked at this thread & found those wheels as a cheap solution. I dont need an expensive fancy wheel set up or the lightest wheel set up, just a little extra help at the track is all.

Not to highjack the thread or anything but after I found this post I ordered the black 17x9 AM Bullits with some 275/40 MT S/S dr's. So far I am VERY happy. They fit great, no clearance or rubbing issues. They weigh 54 lbs a piece with the tire. I'm definitely happy I looked at this post. They are a great cheaper & relatively light alternative to the other wheels & are a great budget option. I will be going to the track tomorrow on them

check out VMS racing. They have a full set of 17x10's and 18x5's for 826 shipped. They are listed at 960.00 or so on their site. If you contact them they will give you 15% off. They are of cast construction and have similar weights at race stars.

They are nice looking wheels. Are you satisfied with the quality? Are they shank or conical style lug nuts?

Quality is very nice for a cast wheel. Conical style lug nuts. I’m very satisfied with these and all my previous cars had M/T or Weld forged wheels.

How fast have you been on the wheels? I wonder how the strength is.
