Well shit! any other available tire on for that 8" rim?

I'd recommend a 10 or 11 inch wheel. And a 305 series drag radial. The 245s that I ran on an 8 inch wheel were no where near as consistent as the 305 I'm running on a 10 inch wheel now.

I have this 9" wheel mounted to a Hoosier slick. It fits, but I did have to grind a small amount from the brake caliper ear on each side. In hindsight, I wish I would have bought a matching set of race stars for the rear (when they were on sale).
