First, I didn't read this the whole way through.

Second, check my post in the ecoboost subforum for some track insight.

Third, WTF? an instructor let you get loose enough on your first event to spin? Wow... Find a good event with good instructors and really learn. His fault most likely, not yours.

Fourth, awesome! taking it to the track, where it was meant to be driven!

edit: saw you said P-zeros suck in the rain. Adjust tire pressures accordingly, and learn! I used to use em for race rain tires... Learn and get better, you'll love em!

I read that you have to leave your windows open for safety. Why is that?

For point by's to start, and if you get in a wreck and are incapacitated, corner workers can pull you out.

Fair enough. I thought you would want to leave them closed to cut down on drag.

Na not instructor's fault, I wasn't smooth with my gas pedal. It was raining and very wet. Two other cars spun out (mine, Viper and a Alfa Spider 4c).

Traction control? on/of/track mode?
First time I would leave it on (which I did). I kept it in sports mode. Next time I would use Track mode (if it's dry) since the car responds better too.
