I just divorced mine, and TMO has a 3D print file you can use to make a nicer looking bracket.
Any chance you could link this please?

Here it is on my car:

OP, I wouldn't stress about divorcing them before your event. If you do, you need to find a plug for the clutch line hole on the brake reservoir that A) is secure, B) can hold up to the temps of the engine bay, and C) not get broke down by the brake fluid.

I found an auto reservoir on the interwebs and swapped it. Then grabbed a GM clutch reservoir.

Oh I'm definitely not saying don't ever do it. But since OP is trying to be ready in less than a day, I would spend my time checking/changing all fluids (Diff, oil, trans, coolant), tires, alignment, checking any bolts I've touched under the car, getting the seat in the right spot, camera/data tracking set, cleaning windows, tire pressures, those sorts of things.

What I would be really curious about is how much mixing of fluids the clutch actually gets. Maybe it's a lot. Maybe it's nothing. But yeah, definitely a good idea to make the change in the long run. And it's cheap.

Thanks again all. I am leaning towards not touching anything before this track day. Living near Buffalo NY , there will be plenty of time to make changes this winter. I selected CHIN as I heard their one on one instructor for the novice drivers is good. I've been to Watkins Glen as a spectator for NASCAR, IMSA, and SVRA and always wanted to drive on the track. I am super nervous and super excited. My expectation is to learn the car's performance. As I said, I was hooked at the Track Attack.

The car stick is fine for hpde seasons. The tires will be fine. The Ford driving schools use the PS4s and the pros scream with them. Have a great time enjoy the car.

Update. Did two days. Brakes held up fine. I did get a lot of brake smell, especially in earlier sessions where I wasn't as smooth and hit the brakes hard. The instructor was worried about the brakes when I said they were stock. At the end of day one, she commented that the stock brakes were no joke. I will most likely change the fluid this fall to higher temp, as it needs to be changed anyway. But overall the car, off the showroom floor, handle fine and certainly outdrove my capability.

I wish I had a performance GPS to record my progress. Substantial difference between early Day 1 and Late Day 2. Car seems to have held up well. There may be a few more noises that either I didn't hear before because I wasn't looking, or have popped up due to the wear and tear. By late sessions on day two I was hitting limits of tires on a couple of the turns. I still need to master the look ahead and improve my line, but I was pretty fast in a few parts of the track. I had an instructor with me for all my sessions. She help tremendously on picking line, braking and turn in. I struggled with the trail braking, but when I did get comfortable on a few corners, it was definitely a faster time. First session out I was getting passed by what seemed like everyone. By end of day two, still getting passed by some, but did some passing myself. Also, when I got passed on my second day late sessions, they didn't walk away as fast from me. Had a ton of fun. Will definitely do more.

This is a lifelong pursuit...at least for me. Way too easy to let those eyes look where I am, rather than where I want to be.

Glad you had fun, they are fantastic cars!
