Just had my first track day at Nelson ledges yesterday. I’m bouncing off the walls with excitement. That was so much fun!

First session best 1:41.4
Best session overall 1:23.8

Here's my video of session 4 if anyone is interested. Made plenty of mistakes.

Yes, the organizer. I've been meaning to do one of those Reed Kryder events. Was it well organized? How many cars on track?

Sweet pic, favorite color and love the vert. I regret not getting the vert but didn’t want to put in a roll bar for track days

Track days are the best. Any time someone on the forum says they are getting bored with their car, I suggest taking it to the track. Doesn't really matter if you have an ecoboost, Cyclone, Coyote, Voodoo, or any other variation, flinging your car on the edge is a blast. Counting down to my 2 day session at Hallett (OK) Aug 10/11th. One day for my Mustang, the other for my GTI. Both are fun in their own way. I'll get killed here for this, but the GTI is more fun.........

Hah, i’ve got a GTI as well. The shorter gearing and low end torque is what does it.

It’s the superior car under 60mph entertainment wise.

thanks! not to make you feel any more regret but I added the Watson four point rollbar and just left it in. For trips we just put the top down to get luggage or coolers in the back seat. It's just my wife and I for trips, buddies or instructors for track days. (rollbar lets the Cars'n'Coffee crowd know I'm not just another pretty face too. LOL)

Whenever I see any type of vert on track, I just can't help but think y'all are built different. Putting aside my dislike of the of the vert body lines, I feel like I'd be too terrified to really push it lol. Lovely color though, you using PPF film?

Ha! I am fearless! After adding Apex wheels, falken RT660's 295's all the way around, I've got this Pony almost to 10/10ths on about 50% my local road course curves. I have ceramic all over and some PPF on front. Going to go PFF on all the front soon then selected body panels near the wheels.

Eye of the beholder, ya know.

My first one so I’m not sure. 20 cars in the street car groups total.

Me too! I didn’t know what to expect going in, but I found myself pushing the car really hard, but I felt comfortable the whole time. Now I have to go back!

I'm glad it is you bouncing off the walls, and not the car bouncing off the walls. :giggle:
