My brother and his partner who live outside Pasadena, arrived last evening to hang out with us for a few days. So, in preparation for their arrival, I detailed all three vehicles. Then yesterday, the day of their arrival, my wife needed to make a grocery run BUT, it was RAINING! I asked her to wait a bit to see if the rain stops and eventually it did. The problem was the wet roads and you all know what that means to a clean vehicle.

When she got home, the damage wasn't too bad and then I remembered I had a brand new bottle of P&S Absolute. Followed the directions and using the new TRC wash pad and a Gauntlet, I wiped her down and I was more than a little surprised at just how clean the car was afterward. So now I think I see what y'all have been talking about with regard to rinseless.

No photos this morning as I was in a big ass hurry as we needed to pick them up at the airport in a couple hours. However, I did take delivery of another Kwazar, this time one of the large bottles and much to my surprise, it has a weighted pickup. First time I've seen that on a Mercury/Kwazar.

And just to show you that I can be multi-talented, <laughing> I also baked a loaf of Cream of Wheat bread and boy is it ever good. I'll be toasting a few slices then plastering them with butter and, peanut butter for breakfast..yum, yum.

P&S absolute is great. I like to use the method of having many Microfiber rags (eagle edgeless 450gsm 70/30 blend) soaking in the solution in one bucket. Use 1 rag on each pannel and put the used tag in a different bucket so to not re-use it. Always drying with a "dry me a river" towel.

Never heard of Cream of Wheat bread but I sure do like Cream of Wheat.
I hadn't either Mark until a neighbor gave me a book on break making and she marked the page for Cream of Wheat saying it's to die for. After the first one I knew I had a winner so I've been using that recipe since.

Rinseless is the way to go. I wash once per year in the spring, once in the fall. Over summer I just use rinseless. Huge time saver and works great.

Man, I have been telling you, rinseless is an amazing skill to have. And Absolute is great. Not my absolute favorite anymore (no pun intended :) ), but it is a great rinseless wash... The clumpy consistency is a little off putting, but the smell is really nice, and it is really slick... BUT, for all the slickness, no gloopy conisistency and an even better smell, try some ADS Hero :) I like it so much I bought a gallon :)

The recipe I used is in a hardback book but Mr. G. found one that is very similar and should produce pretty much the same result.

You'll LOVE it, trust me. :=)

I may do that down the road Alex but I'd say the odds are slim as the number of times I might need a rinseless wash can probably be counted on one hand. Thing is, my brain needs all that setup and prep work and it needs the vehicle to be completely cleaned including the wheels and a rinseless doesn't cut it.

I realize how much time it can save and that if you don't look at the wheels and tires, you probably couldn't tell which method was used but here's the thing, I would know. So the bottle of Absolute will probably last the rest of my life. <bigger grin> Meanwhile, you folks can enjoy your time savings, my brain just won't let me duit.

My value on Rinseless comes with the colder months which we are entering right now. Getting out the pressure washer and stuff when it's below freezing is just not feasible for me. Rinseless really works good in that regard, I, like you, do prefer to do a proper Wash. But the Rinseless is really nice option.

In you all's honest opinion is the price delta between something like a gallon Meguiar's waterless wash and wax and the multitude of rinseless offerings worth it? As someone who keeps their car tidy (and glossy/slick) at all times I feel like the extra expense isn't worth it since I'm only ever cleaning a slightly dirty car at worst.

Just to clean dust, almost all Rinseless washes are diluted at 256:1 which is 1/2 oz per gallon. I mix 3 gallons and dip my sprayer in the 3 gallons to gather my pre spray and use the rest with a sponge. So 1.5 oz per wash is very economical.

What is this product? I have never heard of it before.

Is it something you just spray on a dirty car and it becomes clean, or is this like a follow up product to an already clean car?
