My Exhaust Failure

Turns out my exhaust was not real:frusty::frusty:, today i finished installing the real ones and boy there goes rasp. No more rasp or drone...... I feel like the resonator doesn't even tone the exhaust that much, i have striaght pipes where the resonator use to be. I'll upload the exhaust as soon as i can along with pictures of the fake and real one.

So you put on different mufflers and deleted the resonator? What mufflers? The resonator doesn't seem to be quieting the exhaust at all since it's a straight through, but it definitely changes the tone.

I already had the resonator deleted and the mufflers use to be fake magnaflow 13216. Now i just changed the mufflers to the real version of that particular muffler.... I can't tell you how embarassed i was, it looked real from the outside but on the inside it had such cheap material, that it lasted me 2 months before the 3 chambered baffles loosened up and started rattling next to each other sounding like cowbells....... I should just make a new account called Unlucky Me

Amazon, they're usually on sale for 56 each but i found these for 40 each and those prices were just to good to miss......

I saw a video on CJ Pony Parts that used the same muffler mine looked the exact same and everything, it's those inner barrels that the fake ones screw up.... I knew it sounded weird..... To avoid them just make sure your magnaflow mufflers have a huge Logo engraved on them....

Does anyone know if all mufflers need to have a burn in period? If so how do you drive it to settle perfectly? Rev it out or drive safe and under 2k rpm?

I don't really think they need a "burn in" period. The only thing i can tell you is that they'll sound different in a couple thousand miles.
