Personally i love the power delivery of the coyote it's easier to drive the piss out of it on a twisty road or on a racetrack because of the smooth power delivery and wide torque curve makes it fun and forgiving. If you feel the car needs more you can simply change the intake tube. I dont know if Mishimoto makes one for the 2018+ but it really woke up my 2016.

Normal mode feels like sports+ now and sports plus makes the car dip lol

You can Also look into a supercharger as most NA mods will keep shifting the power higher. A supercharger or single turbo setup will give you a ton of low rpm and mid range torque

i have a 2020 M340i I was thinking the same thing .The car really impresses me for a 3.0l straight 6 i sa a test this week they went 0-60 3.8 12.1 114mph with one stock. Also i own an 18 PP A10 GT it flys and a 19 Bullitt 6 spd ..i think the BMW will give the bullitt a run from a slow roll but from a dig i think it may actually beat it atleast ET maybe not mph out the back but by that time the 1/4 will be over ..
It's amazing how the BMW engines rev quick despite less HP ratings compared to some faster cars

Let me start by saying I am not comparing my 2005 BMW 545i (4.4 NA 325 HP and 330 torque) with my 2019 Mustang GT.

I'm trying to understand why does my BMW feels so much faster. Is it because it's a ZF automatic vs my manual in mustang. Maybe the automatic mustang GT feels quicker but I have not driven an auto GT.

545i is very nimble and revs to 7k very easily and I feel like it has more low end grunt then the mustang.

I am not sure what makes mustang feels slower when you start driving it from first gear and even at high speeds makes it feel like you are driving it slow. I definitely notice less torque at low rpms in lower gears.
You’re not alone, and the A10 doesn’t make it feel any faster. I am underwhelmed every time I floor our 2018 A10 GT. It feels like a dog. I know it reaches super legal speeds quickly, but Ford has tamed this car down to the point of almost boredom. Jeremy Clarkson said the same thing about the new Lambos—something to the effect of they’re just not as fun if they’re not trying to kill you. The wife’s Ecoboost Flex feels way quicker off the line. I never felt my 2012 3.73 6MT GT was slow, so I guess it’s just the refinement that makes the new ones feel so slow.

I thought it was the automatic. I’ve never driven an 18+ manual. I’ve been kicking myself for not getting a 6MT. I guess I can at least stop regretting that. Lol

I think the car does have that fast feel to it but it is quite fast. When I'm at red light and I drive normal almost every car can take of faster then me. Im not gonna fast shift everytime I want to drive fast. My legs will be tired. I guess I'm lazy and next time if I buy any sports or GT car it will be an automatic

550i is a different animal. My boss had one too. Really, really fast.

Gotta love a car that feels fast. All of my winsor powered Mustangs felt fast. With their 15 second 1/4 mile runs. Same with a laser turbo I had that ran 15.0@95 back in 1989. When the turbo spooled up on the laser. It felt like a rocket. Those slugs felt fast. Big difference in feeling fast. And being fast. Feeling fast is fun for a daily driver. Just never take it to a track. And learn its not fast the hard way.

It is annoying though the BMW cost like 3 times less than the Mustang yet provides better performance (minus crappy suspension) with a lot of space inside and practicality not to mention no sound in the cabin at all.

My MKZ AWD twin turbo "feels" faster than my Mustang but it's a second slower 12.7 to 11.7, it's a strange feeling but the MKZ front end goes up real high when the turbos kick in enhancing that fast feeling, after 60 it levels off where in the GT it's really starting to haul ass and feels the way it should, plenty fast.

My buddies GLH felt like a rocket, he thought it would kill my '85 Notch way back then but he quickly learned feeling fast doesn't always mean fast.

BMW is a good sports sedan with 4 doors and can haul a family. I still think mustang is a great GT car for the money. Although few yr used BMW 550 can be had for really cheap compared to new one.

I don't know but if i put my car in Sport + and roll into the throttle the car is going stupid speeds in literally no time. I've never been in a car that got to 100 mph so fast without even realizing it.
