Mustang Value after Supercharging

I was given $9k above blue book for my 18 300a with a roush blower on it. At the dealer that installed it.

Just like most mods and add on's, you will never recover the full value of the supercharger when you sell the car. As long as your aware of this and OK with it going into it....then do it and just enjoy the added power.

The Roush SC warranty only applies to the original owner and is only valid 3yr 36kmiles from the original sale date and caps out at $7500.

Realistically the Roush warranty is irrelevant once you sell the car and wont cover a blown engine in full anyway. It also states it can be voided if you install any non Roush aftermarket parts.

I weighed putting a supercharger on my GT, but decided against it for 2 reasons:
1. I have no place to use the extra power.
2. I would be better off buying a used ZL1, Z06 Vette or Jaguar F-Type. They come with a supercharger already, so it won't hurt resale.

Step one remove blower step 2 put back to stock then sell it as never been modded.

I have an additional 3 year warranty thst covers the Roush.

I bought a used (2200 miles) 2016 GT/CS with all the options that had a Roush/Ford Racing supercharger installed at a Ford dealership at 350 miles.. I’ve had the car for 28 months. A lady using a cane bought the car new and wasn’t driving it so she decided to sell it. I have 4800 miles on the car now. I paid $34,000. I wasn’t looking for a supercharged Mustang but in this case it didn’t keep me from buying the car as it was the model, color, and options I was spec looking for. I’ve not really seen what it can do. Too much traffic on California roads.

Selling a stock Mustang is always gonna be easier than selling a modded out Mustang. This is the same with guitars and motorcycles. Most people want the original stuff.

Unless you find somebody that’s wants your exact mods I quess ?

What does the Supercharger do to the value of a relatively new Mustang GT? Increase or Decrease its value?

Also, this would be on a PP2

My dealer offered me the same price for the mustang without the supercharger the supercharger made no difference so it would be in your best interest if you were to sell one with a supercharger to someone on your own the dealers will not give you more

I say it all the time people go on lavish vacations and piss away thousands of dollars to have pics and memories. But yet people get all riled up spending thousands on mods that get you Pics, Smiles and incredible fun for a long long time. I don’t know guess whatever floats your boat

Yeah I guess you can lose money 2 ways... buying a supercharger then possibly losing on resale

i must have sold at the right time then because I got a good deal on my 2018 last year. It had a blower on it.

The Coyote motor is a Bullet proof
Motor so don’t know why people would be scared of SC on them. I mean damn the Shelby performance division puts SC on their cars and trucks all the time. Sorry can’t agree with the SC add on ruins the value much more than just the typical loss of value on a vehicle. I have the Shelby Super Snake with a SC on it and now it’s not valuable? Nah others may want to steal your pride and joy and tell you so but professional installation and cherry clean car you will get good money. But yeh crappy installation and abuse your ride sure it’s going to show and scare people.
