I've known of more than a few mustangs with tunes on them and they have never had a problem getting warranty work done..
My last two cars were tuned and never had warranty issues when i brought them in and they did go in a few times.
Oh boy, let's not get another one of THOSE conversations started in this thread.

OP- The FIRST mod any mustang owner should do is an aftermarket exhaust system of some sort. These S550's are rather mute in stock form. (if you have already done that, i think you did?) I'd go with some lowering springs and then some aftermarket wheels to save weight and look sexy. :)

My dealer quoted me $~8500 installed. It would be my FIRST mod if I buy an S550.

Roush SC = 627 HP
Wait until phase 3 comes out. 627 is only phase 1. Roush released a dyno video of a phase 3 calibration and it put down 747/599 AT THE WHEELS.

What is the rating at the wheels on phase 1?

color accented coil covers, the chrome caps for oil. billet dip stick...

but for real, a intake and tune to wake it up is ideal. and the billet dip stick isn't a bad ideal, specifically the guide it has to the block is a pos.

560 ish.

I paid $8400.00 for the supercharger to be installed by the dealer. Before I even took delivery. I do not think the Stage 2 or 3 would be covered under the factory warranty though. Like I said earlier. Get your biggest mod done first and then nickel and dime it. This is probably my 10th modified car and getting the big stuff is the better way to go.

Intake, headers, tune = great power gains.

Short shift kit improves the shifting experience immensely. Clutch spring removal is free and easy, and it really makes the clutch much better to use.

Catbacks make the car sound like it should and remove 20-30lbs.

The stock wheels are heavy and the P Zero rubber is inferior to other high grip summer compounds. New wheels and rubber will improve handling.

Bushings to get rid of wheel hop.

Springs will help roll and dive while shocks will further improve compliance and transitional behavior.

A catback exhaust system, lightweight wheels(20 lbs each), set of super sport tires 305 back 275 front, eibach pro springs, wheel hop eliminator, Deka xl18 battery, short throw shifter, 1 piece carbon fiber drive shaft, k&n dropin filter, and gt350r spoiler!
My list is similar (except 285 or 275 square tires) and FRPP assembled handling pack/Roush handling pack/Steeda handling pack and no spoiler for me. Tune and CAI as well as some point.

What wheels are you shortlisting and catback? I have my eyes on the Corsa Extreme.

Keep me posted on your mod list as well...
Dont long tubes mess with your ability to have the car pass emissions after the first few years (where you dont need to test).

So far I've just done the basics: catback, tint, and clutch spring delete.

My next mods will either be the remaining bolt-ons plus tune, or I'll go with the short shift kit.

I'm not touching the suspension until I've seen a coilover set hit the market with enough testimonies to warrant its purchase.

I've shot through my rear tires at 6k and my fronts are new, so instead of doing wheels/tires right now, I'm just going to bite the bullet on a set of rear P Zeros and try to make them last a little longer this time around. ;)

As long as your headers are catted, I think you should be fine. Might pose more of an issue if you're in a heavily regulated state like Cali.

Depends upon the state you live in as to longtubes.

Depends on whether you have only a sniff test or if you have a "visual inspection" like California and some of the East Coast states. CA is more concerned about you having an Exemption Order sticker on your CAI than on the actual smog readings from the dyno. Missing the sticker is an automatic fail.

Nice! I'm sure that is a ton of fun. Wish I had the extra cash to make the expense not seem like such a blow!
