.

Did you just liken a 5.0 american V8 exhaust sound to a Honda Civic?
You missed the qualifier words Kevin. He said, and I quote, "It's a manlier version of a tuner civic sound."

Not to derail this thread but I drove through Indiana winters for 5 years in an E90 M3 on blizzacks (and before that in my 2005 GT on Michelin X) before I traded it for the S4 in 2013 (got stock one day and got mad so traded it the next day -was also out of warranty ).

Before then I too had repeated that myth of snow tires/RWD being as good as AWD .May be with all seasons but I run blizzacks on the S4 as well and I can tell you it's not even close .Never again am I going back .
Yeah, no argument on AWD + snows being a lot better than RWD + snows. AWD + all-seasons is not so big of a difference though, particularly with the more eco-focused tires that most AWD vehicles come with these days.

Anyway, back to '18 mods...

Anyone comparing that sound to a Civic needs his ears checked. "HUH? WHAT? DID YOU SAY SOMETHING? OH I HEARD A NOISE FROM A CAR."

Nah. Some folks need to just have a better ear for the dramatic.

I mean, I get it.

Ford is not only trying to attract a larger swath of Int'l customers, they're also throwing daffodils to the millenial crowd.

Stuff changes.

When a Ford Exec refers to the GT350 exhaust as "...just delicious', welp ... since when has an exhaust been delicious.

Sounds pretty good! What would the active exhaust option change, though? Only give the option to make it quieter? Is no active exhaust the same as the active "loud" mode?

I doubt the regular exhaust is as loud as track mode on the active exhaust.

The non active exhaust sounds great in person -believe me;)

One of the best stock exhaust I have ever heard .

I would definitely do the active exhaust ,though it is permanently on " loud" in my GT 350 .

If the race mode makes it a little louder I would not touch this exhaust .

Wow. I for one really don't like the post-sound. I much prefer the deeper sound of the stock. The new just adds way to much rasp that, like another said, does kind of remind me of a 4 banger.

I had an X-pipe on my Mach1 and it sounded MUCH better than this thing did.

Hoping maybe an H-pipe will sound better.

Same with me. The after sound does not sound better than it did stock.
