Muffler Deletes, Don't Do It!

I bought mine used with mufflers deleted. Sounds good to me and most people that have heard it. As they say, to each his own

I still have to mess with my system it is too quiet and you can hear the rasp. Sounds like there is still rattling but I don't know how to stop it. I have the TSP catted headers, Roush AB and the Magnaflow resonated x pipe.

I was thinking of reinstalling my mrt h pipe and going from there with maybe a different AB. Or I could just get rid of the Roush AB and just run no mufflers. I think that might be something I could try since I can just take off the AB and see how the car sounds. Not sure what to do.

Yup...got a muffler delete to experiment with the H-Pipe because I thought my SLP LM2 mufflers were "too quiet"....boy am I glad I didn't sell them. Car sounded like straight ass. Not harping on the guys that have the setup, but to my ears it sounded like shit.

That $120 lasted less than 24 hours. I took off the exhaust next day, cut the muffler delete off, and put my SLP mufflers back on. Would I got louder? Maybe a little louder, but definitely not anything that resembles a muffler delete again.

When swapping my axle back on I thought "hey, let's hear it with just the X-pipe and no mufflers, just for fun"..... holy hell... ya, waaaaaay too much for me. Just right w/an X-Pipe and Pypes touring....

Keep in mind, having tips out back makes a big difference in the sound quality.

To be honest it wasn't even the volume that bothered me. The catback I just put on my car sounds nearly as loud.

It just straight sounds bad. It sounds like a Harley and a tractor had a bastard baby together.

To each his own. I love my Pypes axlebacks. Resonators only, not too loud, drone doesn't bother me a bit and I drive the freeway every morning to work.

Yeah I'm running long tubes with no cats and a Magnaflow Competition Cat Back with no resonators. Sounds amazing at idle and mild driving but the drone and rasp is terrible above a certain RPM. My Magnaflow resonated X came in the other day tomorrow I have an appointment with an exhaust specialist

I'm running custom 26" long glasspacks in place of the resonator, and muffler deletes. I'm not bullshitting when I say I get told at least 3 times a week my car sounds perfect.

I'm running the SLP LM2 and a Roush x-pipe. Love the sound, volume, and get tons of compliments.

Let me know if that magnaflow resonated x pipe kills the drone,i dont mind it being loud i just dont want that terrible drone in the car.

Install went great, rasp and drone are GONE. It's not loud like it was but still plenty when I get on it. It's a little more on the quiet side for me but it's a all straight through pipes with long tubes so my flow is awesome. -Shane

Muffler delete sounds identical to a roush axed back.

I tried pairing it with the magnaflow resonated x. Sounded deeper but way too quiet. Had that set up for about a year and just went X-pipe muffler delete which sounds identical to a roush x pipe combo.

I think the Borla ATAK is the best sounding exhaust for the 5.0

Just put on my muffler deletes car is perfect I found the setup I like finally. TSP catted headers, magnaflow resonated x pipe and muffler delete.
