LOLand unbeatable in a straight line
I've got one and it has been problem free, it's no tremec, but it's light years beyond how the MT82 was in my S197.I take it you haven’t had a mt82 car they’re dog shit cold warm hot doesn’t matter clunky as hell and hit or miss when trying to get a built one
hey now, I posted long ago that nobody's done it, and furthermore to go read the long thread on the last guy who tried just a "simple" T56 swap.OP: I have searched this topic before as well and haven’t found where anyone has done it.
K. For starters: Autotrans BCM. Autotrans PCM. Autotrans ABS. Engine harness, Autotrans harness, upper/lower O2's, complete autotrans drivetrain / components from the flywheel back, PATS bypass, & a FORD tech willing to reprogram everything.Three pages of bull shit opinions and not one person answered the OP’s original question.
Imma just say f it and keep the mt82 and add every possible bushing, clutch cable, and shifter. If anyone has recommendations please let me knowOP read up on this thread for the T56 questions. This guy is working on a work around for the T56 swap stuff.

Install this instead, and quit playing around.Someone send me a parts list for a T56 swap y’all convinced me to keep the manual just tired of mt82 shenanigans
Before you throw an entire catalog of parts at it I would make sure there's not an underlying issue with yours that's causing your concerns. I never experienced anything like what your going through. I honestly thought the MT82 in my 21 was pretty damn good. Geared terribly for sure, but zero drivability issues.Imma just say f it and keep the mt82 and add every possible bushing, clutch cable, and shifter. If anyone has recommendations please let me know
Exactly right, the take for manuals is less than 30%You say that they are less desirable, yet, Ford charges more for the auto and sell the crap out of them. I personally love manuals, but, was not about to buy an MT82.
I'm afraid you're conflating desirability with lifelong 'conditioning' or just plain lack of knowhow. If you've never been in a manual or worse don't know how, you're very unlikely to select it.Numbers say the auto is more desirable.
Pretty sure I saw production reports that said take rate was a lot closer to 50% on GT. On EB it was significantly divergent, yes.Exactly right, the take for manuals is less than 30%

I don't belive it has anything to do with conditioning. It's a choice. I chose a manual for my Mach 1 , but my 18 and 15 were both autos. I enjoyed those cars as much as I do my current car.I'm afraid you're conflating desirability with lifelong 'conditioning' or just plain lack of knowhow.
