Read all the way through the thread, he did in fact ask if the mt82 could be improved, otherwise I wouldnât have responded with what worked on mine and many others.
The info I offered is based on facts found through personal experience in turning the wrenches myself. Unlike the âiTs 2 eXPensivE AnD wOnT WoRkâ logic that some you have brought. Nice try there turbo đ
I promise you donât have to throw every possible âfixâ at it. I spent 2 years researching to find the fix for the MT82-D4 and in the end all it really needed was a good clutch. Now there could be an underlying issue that youâre not aware of that could be causing issues. In my specific case I had...
OP read up on this thread for the T56 questions. This guy is working on a work around for the T56 swap stuff.

Three pages of bull shit opinions and not one person answered the OPâs original question.
OP: I have searched this topic before as well and havenât found where anyone has done it. Thereâs always a first so if itâs important to you tackle it and let us know how it goes.
as far as making the...
Dude thatâs awesome! Just know that itâs heading in the right direction is super encouraging! I can imagine having to wait on chips from an already stressed industry and supply chain are really putting a damper on things. Thanks for the update! đ€
Just place your Jack under the center point of each side and youâll be fine (use some kind of padding to keep from bending/scratching pinch welds), raising one side at a time is perfectly fine just keep an eye out as your raising to ensure the Jack stands or wheel cribs arenât going to kick out...
Nice, Your doing it right man, vetting the project before putting it out is the way it should be.
Maybe contact Bill Armstrong who invented âThe BangshiftBillyâ clutch tamer. He might be able to point you in the right direction as far as what companies would be a good fit for this.
I can appreciate the amount of physical effort your putting into this as I just put a clutch in my car, itâs a job just to get to the point of dropping the trans down đ„”
Very cool, thanks for the update! I donât think people realize the possibilities this opens up for the 2019+ cars. This could give us the ability to put any trans we want in these cars without losing anything correct?
OP you mentioned using Arduino; are you using it to program a sensor youâve built or are you using a micro-controller from there to send out the signal for the gear position?
I ask because Iâm trying to wrap my head around what signals are being sent out by the factory sensors.
Probably not much consolation but Iâll be in line to buy your product whenever you get it figured out. Even if someone could put it on an older MT82 in the event that they need a transmission in a pinch it would be worth it.
Awesome, been wondering when someone would get this done. For the downshift rev matching youâd have to have a â19+ car and get a 3160 from a Mach 1. The transmission has to have the internal sensor/magnet for the 6 pin connector to read for it to work.
