It would be nice if we could get back on task in this thread. I am curious how much the conversion cost and how much is involved. The issues I can think of are listed below.

1. Can paddle shifters be installed
2. Will the same wiring harness work for the transmission and paddle shifters
3. Will the Auto shifter fit in manual console.
4. Is a computer swap needed or just a refresh
5.Will the speedometer work
6.How much is the used Mt82 worth and how much will the used auto cost

I came into this thread thinking there would be some good information...but nope...
Instead it's just a bunch of guys standing in a circle with one hand on some measuring tape and another on their dicks...

Do you enjoy your vehicle? Good
Does it meet your needs? Good
Are you happy? Good

Why the fuck does it matter if another person chooses a manual over an auto and vice versa? Just drive what you like and enjoy that for what it is. This talk of manual vs. Auto is pointless unless it actually made any difference in anyone's life.

And how exactly did that post contribute to the thread?

Get your measuring tape and welcome to the circle:cheers:

You will need the following:

6R80 from a Mustang or F150
-optional high stall convertor
-optional Exedy clutches
Auto PCM
Auto ABS module
Driveshaft for an auto
Auto center console and shifter
-optional auto pedals
Auto steering wheel for paddles.

You'll need to have access to dealer tools or take it to a dealer to have the abs module reprogrammed, pats, and as built data configured.

^^^ Interesting.

All of my Mustangs have been manuals. I prefer to shift myself when it comes to the non-DD cars, and manuals are a dying breed.

However....that said, if I could have ordered my '15 with the PP and the A6, I would have done so. Just sayin'.

That is the truth right there.
My 13 I traded in I loved the brembo brakes and wanted them again... I should have bought a base GT auto and then installed bigger brakes. I can't trade now. I guess I will just have to wait till I find out how to install auto on here, or not.

The 15 gt has same size brakes as your 13 brembo did. Didn't need PP to get bigger than you had. That said, I love my LE auto with PP. ;). Coming from a standard braked 11, it's a huge upgrade when multiple stops from speed or one stop from very high speed even. Love it. But honestly, standard 15 gt brakes was probably enough of an upgrade from the 11.

Won't there be some wiring differences too? I mean is all the wiring there in the column for the auto paddle shift steering? What about transmission wiring? Is there just a simple plug-n-play wiring like the old FOX days where is was simple auto wiring harness swap? Is the ECU harness different?
I understand the PCM ABS module.

I am trying to find as much info as possible so that I can slowly buy those pieces when I come across them. Or start buying them from Ford if I can get part numbers.

Pretty sure wiring is the same, tranny swap is not a wiring nightmare, like you are thinking.

That's an impressive list. For the cost and hassle, I'd sell the MT and buy an AT. Surely would be less expensive.

Process I have all items above besides the ABS module. Do you know for sure its needed? Do you know anyone who has done one successfully on a 2015? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What about the gear indicator that's in the dash? "PRNDS" lights?

99% certain it is needed, since the modules have different programming.
