I recently blew up my 3rd gear in my 2018 manual gt. I found a built stage 2 calimer transmission out of a gen 2. Would this trans work with the 2018? I know the wiring for the reverse sensor may be an issue.

I could be wrong, but I believe that would take away your Rev matching as well.

How did you break 3rd gear in your tranny?

The 2018 model years do not have rev matching..that’s 2019 and up. I am hoping that the speed sensor wiring is identical.
My car is boosted, has an upgraded LPXHD clutch..downshifted into 3rd on semi wet pavement with TC on. Heard some bad noise and car doesn’t go into 3rd..was able to limp it home.

I believe there is slight differences. 18 up is a mt82 d4. Plus if your boosted, do your self a favor and just go stage 3 Ben calimer. I cannot tell you how many people that have had a stage 1 or stage 2 say they should of just gone stage 3 from the get go because they still break stage 1 and stage 2. Stage 3 is the only that actually replaces the internals for stronger ones, the other stages keep same internals but just with strengthening coatings

It will work, but the ratios are different so you'll need a tune to make it work right without the PCM getting very angry.
