I'll be doing the same. It seems as though you have good taste, sir.
Yes!

I feel this forum and it's track junkies are leading us in the proper upgrades. Now I see why others who are not in the forum look at me says I am bias, but they soon realize that the upgrades and wealth of information here makes them jelly

I am just hoping my wallet hole is big enough for everything as I am nearing my limit

Interesting that lowering it more than 1/2 it will hit the steering rack. I was going to do the CJ install and I haven't heard of anyone having issues going 3/4 to lower. I have to do some more reach on this.

yeah I made the mistake as well of getting the boomba transmission mount when I already had the white line transmission insert. I figured it wouldn't be that bad or too loud, and that's why it was only in for a week cuz it was just stupid loud. my transmission insert doesn't even have a hole drilled in it to reduce nvh and it's nowhere near the amount of nvh that the boomba transmission mount adds.

What size hole are we suppose to drill into it?

1.5" hole saw bit. that's the size that some people have used with good success on the middle of the insert. before doing that I just stuck the insert in to see if it was bearable and how bad the nvh was, for me I noticed nothing different and could not hear anything over my exhaust so I opted not to drill a hole in the insert. as far as lowering more than 1/2 inch for the motor mounts that's as far as I could go without hitting my steering rack as I have a boss intake manifold and was trying to get under the Stock hood which I still ended up having Two Notch it in the back of the hood. I honestly don't think my boss manifold would still fit if I had to lower it another quarter inch without having the notch the hood.

Nice, I will try it have order it first then install it as is. If there is too much NVH, then I will begin drilling the hole. Thanks!

Any feedback from those who have installed the UPR mounts? How is NVH and any improvement in shifting with the manual and transmission clunk?

for me since I didn't drive very many miles it took about a month to get them really worked in. now the only time you're really noticed some is at initial startup, and when it comes to nvh the UPR streets are far better than what else is out there as far as a balanced setup. by far they are one of my favorite mods. Helps out with shifting, helps out with cornering in the front and lowers the center of gravity on the engine. plus I needed um anyways in order to fit my boss manifold in. they're also lighter than the stock ones.

As it lowers the engine, does it cause the oil pan/sump to protrude below the subframe once lowered?

Just worried about hitting the sump on a speed bump.

I don't think the oil pan would protrude. I want to say there was at least an inch and a half worth of scrap wood that I used to make the oil pan flush with the subframe when I was installing headers.

With the stock oil pan you can only lower 1/2" inch till it hits the steering rack. The sump does not hit speed bumps, plus I'm lowered and have no issues.

UPR street adjustable motor mounts is the way to go if you ask me, perfect balance for street/drag or track. Others are very harsh tried a few and got these and have had them ever since. You can only lower the engine 1/2" till it hits the steering rack with the stock oil pan just so you know. Its 1-3hr install depending on hand tools or air tools. I had purchased the boomba race spec trans mount and took it out after a week, way too much NVH for me its just sitting in a box now. Put my white line trans insert back in and haven't messed with it since. Its a good balance between Stiffness and street drivability if you ask me.

Kahboom...would give a small writeup review on the whiteline insert and UPR mounts? How's the noise that they produce? What benefit does the UPR mount give?

After the Boomba mount, I've been scared of noise...:frusty:

I had the steeda transmission bushing insert and the NVH was horrible. Idle, cruising and so on. Shifting improved only marginally and was nowhere near enough to justify the NVH. I'm definitely curious about this UPR mounts. I might have to give these a shot if idle is the only issue.
