Just wondering why GT owners want boost? Thats wasting half of the gauge unless I'm missing something.

Ok ... abit more info

original .... 720-06-01 F86F 8664 1897
Replaced .... 720-06-01 F87F 8664 18A7

My car 2016 GT Auto Supercharged (thats why i wanted the boost gauge )
Donor ABD from 2016 Eco Boost auto (which I owned before GT)

I have ABD for both there are 3 lines of code different in the IPC data of the 3 lines that particular line swaps the gauges.

My car has no error faults and works a treat

One other thing to note is that both cars are Australian RHD models.

Also i did revert back to stock ABD in GT it switched fine and back again.

hope that explains it better and as with everything it is a risk I took it and it worked maybe one of you guys could maybe put it in forscan so it enables/disables it or switches it.

there is quite a few requests for this as many have turbos or superchargers added ... also on RHD models we do no get the PP gauges in the middle of dash in RHD configeration so it is handy for that purpose.

Confirmed 720-06-01 xx7x-xxxx-xxxx gives you vac/boost gauge on the US cars. If you don't have 6 in that slot but do have an even number just add one.

The whole shebang - vac/boost, transmission temp, oil pressure for those that don't yet have it (US cars):
720-06-01 xx7F-8xxx-xxx

Thanks for this! I have a 15 EB PP and have the physical Vac/PSI gauge in the center of the dash but wanted the digital gauge because it's easier to read and eliminates the parallax error.

I've tried to find a way to do this in FORScan for quite some time now unsuccessfully but this worked!

Originally mine was 720-06-01 686D 8000 18
I changed it to 720-06-01 687F 8000 18
I now have the Vacuum/Boost gauge in the digital console along with all of the other gauges I had.

Ok ... abit more info

Very nice, Joe! Thanks for the info. I'm definitely going to do this soon. :headbang:

Thanks for this.

Again, the last two digits are a checksum that FORScan will auto-calculate for you, so they can be ignored.

So since the third character was the only other one changed, a nicer way to report this would be:

IPC 720-06-01 xx7x xxxx xxxx - Boost/Vacuum gauge enabled

This prevents people from trying to set your whole line of as-built and potentially removing other features they have enabled. I would imagine a GT350 could differ on this line, for instance.

The more precise we are, the less likely we are to lead others to screw up their cars.

I think it might be the 3rd and 4th digit that are used. Mine is a EB PP and I had all of the gauges except for the vacuum/boost and mine was 686D and I changed it to 687F to get the gauge.

Did you try them individually first?
That would have been the better way to do it but I just tried both since that's what worked for 00racer. i didn't have a lot of time so when it worked, I just wrapped it up and left it.

Probably not really of any interest, because everybody loves the sequential rear turn lights :headbang:

BCMB 7B7-03-01 x1xx xxxx Sequential Turn Lights enabled
BCMB 7B7-03-01 x0xx xxxx Sequential Turn Lights disabled

Just wanted to post the information...

Part of the game is knowing what not to change when hunting for mods.

Even if it's something you think nobody will ever use - now we know not to look there.

The end goal is to identify what each and every character does.

:eyebulge: never thought that US seq light could be disabled! When disabled, how are the turning lights working? Only external bar blinking like EU (but we have amber in it) or all three bars blinking?
