I think a more effective way to feel torque down low is get rid of those 3:15 and go with a 3:55 or a 3:73. It will make the car feel more powerful throughout the entire rpm range. Don't fear the gear is the old saying. Or maybe it's still the saying lol I dunno.

Any reason why you haven't gone this route instead?

Because the truck manifold does not give up any top end power, VS the MY 5.0 manifold, boosts low torque and increases gas mileage.

I do have a set of 3.55's and the truck manifold will still improve the low end torque. It may get to where I can't put the power down and may end up going back to the 3.15. We will see.

I have a GT350 m,anifold on the car right now and I do like the top end, I don't really like winding the thing to 7500 RPM I'd just as soon keep the rev's to 6800

1st gear with 3.15 is almost useless in my 2015 automatic. I cant imagine what it would be like with the 3.55. Sounds like the truck manifold is the way to go. 👍

First might be useless but all the other Gears that matter are more useful.

I finally got to test the MY 18 F150 manifold at the drag strip. I was disappointed until I ran the numbers through a DA calculator.

I attached the calculator screen shot along with the time slips. You can read the dates, Edgewater sports park Cleves Oh.

The 18 up truck manifold equals the MY 15 to 17 5.0 manifold in HP and beats it in torque. I got the best time shifting it at 7000 RPM. I would have tried some more tuning but I'm not really looking for max HP.

The truck manifold is much nicer to drive on the highway.

I'd like to try a MY 18 up 5.0 manifold

Sorry for the sideways pic I couldn't rotate it.

I was not able to get traction so if I had equal 60 foot times I would have had better ET

Dan thanks for posting the results. Re:

I might have missed something (probably) but I'm just wondering what data this is based on.

Dyno numbers show the truck manifold has a torque bump in the lower RPM range but shows it falling off after 6500. The drag strip shows HP is equal, I shifted at 7000 to get the posted time slip.

First time slip is the f150 manifold ran today.

Second time slip is MY 17 5.0 manifold ran April 25th 2021

The wallace DA time correcton calc shows identical corrected times.

As tested it has a simple cat back MBRP street exhaust, and I changed the IMRC parameters to keep them active without a cel.

These are high winding V8 engines. You're not gonna make any low end short of a PD blower. The only advantage to the 18+ f150 manifold is that it can be bought cheaper than the 18+ Mustang GT manifold. For a good reason. I put a 2020 GT intake on mine and I have not noticed any low end loss. Even with IMRC delete. Could be my driving style who knows. But that top end pull is unbelievable. Haha. Cheers bud.

I have GT350 manifold I'm going to list in the for sale forum because that last 400 RPM of pull means a lot less to me than the pull at 2000.

The "truck" manifold did not nose over.

I like it and it looks cool too, like an old school high rise manifold. Maybe I'll paint the runners silver......

I'd love to test the 18 5.0 manifold. But the dyno graphs show the truck is 30 Lb/ft better at 2000 RPM and keeps the advantage till 6600.

When you say it didn't nose over you mean it held its power the same as the stock manifold 6600 to 6800 rpms
