I drove through fog in Austin so thick this morning I needed a machete to hack through it, and when it comes to exterior lights, I don't just want to see, I want to be seen by others. It's one of the reasons I am so in love with the S550 brake lights. Just don't accidentally look at them in your dark garage when they flash. :eyebulge:
That's the main issue. Have an accident, and the person rear ending you claims they couldn't see your brake lights (even if they're just looking for an excuse) and the LEO checks them out? Or someone turns in front of you at night, "I couldn't see them officer", oh what's this? Your DOT approved safety equipment has been altered? Ticket, lawsuit or worse.

No thanks :)

Especially when there's so many other awesome options for customization.

Would have gone ARH instead of SW for exhaust.
Why do say this? Just curious. Sound? Fitment? Quality? Thanks

for the 400th time, tail light tint with correct tint reduces the brightness of the already insanely bright tail lights like 3%... it's hardly a difference. I don't have it personally but for people who do and get the right tint it's a non issue
That image made me laugh. :D I'm not that old but I feel it sometimes, especially being around all the whippersnappers at work every day.

As for the tint, you're probably right it is 97% as bright, but I'll stick with the stock look, which looks great IMO.

BTW Khyber your car is one of the first ones that stood out to me when I was lurking this forum and trying to decide if I should get a S550. So there's that. :ford:

I regret getting 5% back windows lol

Hard to see anything, I would have gone 15%, like my fronts, if I could do it again.

I have a list of mods that are being installed in the next 2 weeks, hopefully I don't come back regretting any.

What is it that makes you regret the SW headers? I'm just about to make a purchase and I'm on the fence between the two.

Thanks

I see a lot of guys regretting their lowering springs and I don't blame you. After I put springs on my Skyline I told my wife if I ever seriously considered doing it to another car again to give me a swift kick in the junk. Completely ruined the driving experience of what most would consider an awesome car.

So far just Lund Tune, Tint, and BMR Performance springs. I'll be honest I have reservations about the springs. So far I like them, but not enough driving on them to know for sure. Car looks awesome though. Just worried it turns it into a kidney buster.
Is the ride much more harsh with the performance springs? I have them waiting to install

I regret doing the "free front swaybar mod" with crappy bits. I could have saved many hours of frustration with better bits because the swaybar is hard as hell. The mod itself is great though.

The BMR "performance" springs have rates just barely stiffer than the PP springs. I put them on my PP-equpped car to lower it, and I couldn't honestly say I noticed any felt difference in spring rate at all vs. the PP springs.

Agreed. I went with 20% but wouldn't mind 15% next time. Still happy, but maybe just a tad bit darker would be nice :D
I'm sure you know by now but watch out around BR...I have darkest legal (50 I think) and still got pulled over. The cop was laughing at himself after he tested the darkness. He apologized. :)

you can always un mod anything.........just takes time and money
No regrets, sometimes you need to experiment as not all MFGs claims
are truth..

I re tinted my windows cause twice I wanted it darker (35% to 20%)
had to do 2 alignments because I changed coil springs twice (Steeda to BMR)
I bought a JLT and a Tune and its going to be tossed for a Whipple
and Ill prob toss my cat back (magnaflow) and try another brand

Ouch, haha. I had 33% on my last car for 6 years and haven't gotten pulled over. So far I've been lucky with the 20%, lol. When I first got it tinted I'd roll the window down on whatever side I seen a cop on, but now I've pulled up at red lights next to one with the windows up and nothing.

I hope whatever cop that was that pulled you over stays the hell away from me, lol.
