Okay i keep getting a misfire and my plugs keep failing i have a feeling it's just bad luck bad tune or bad plugs. I was doing a pull then the are felt as if it just died and the car went into limp mode and i pulled over and restated it. Ive noticed if i hit it it will keep going into limp mode. I just want to know if it is my tune causing there issues as this is my second set of plugs.

With all the problems you've had with this and other stuff I think it's about time u changed tuners. What plugs/gap are u running? Have u tried going back to the stock ones gapped to .028 to see if it still happens?

Seconded. Sounds like a tune issue.

Could be bad gas too with the winter gas out now. Flash back to stock and try. If no misfire occurs, that's probably a tune that's too aggressive or isn't properly calibrated for your area/gas.

If it does, you have a mechanical problem.

I know the plug is broken I have pulled it and the plastic collar around the needle that provides spark hs broken and slides over the needle. I just wanted a reason as to why the plugs keep breaking. I had NGK 6510's gapped at .028. I was running a E30 tune when it happened.

Your running a high risk tune in your car and wonder why it keeps breaking?

How is this a high risktune? Many people run E30 without an issue i just wanted to know if it was a mechanical or tune issue.

Tunes can cause mechanical failures- like broken spark plugs. It's not one or the other. The "plastic" part of the spark plug is ceramic and if it breaks off, well, you would really know what a mechanical failure looks like.

How careful are you when mixing the fuel? If you run too much E85 in the mix it could easily max out the fuel system and cause issues.

I was having an occasional "misfire" at wide open throttle with the COBB OTS tune.

My Tune+ tune is clean and clear as can be. No more misfires at all.

Why it's a high risk tune? You can never, with absolute certainty be sure the gas your putting in your car has 0-15% ethanol mixture. If you calculate the E-85 mixture wrong things go bad in a hurry.

I keep getting the misfire code too since the temps dropped below freezing a few weeks ago. This morning I had codes P0300, P0302, and P0303. First time getting codes on specific cylinders. So about half hr ago I pulled all the NGK plugs and put the stock plugs back in all gapped at 29. Since I'm running the stock tune due to the cold temps and not driving the car hard, I figured putting the stock plugs back in would be fine. All 4 of the NGK plugs were gapped at 28 but weren't very clean. I assume the carbon build up is due to the E30 tune but why am I getting cylinder misfire codes now when I haven't ran the E30 tune in months?
Here's what the NGK plugs look like.

A misfire combined with a cracked spark plug ceramic is a pretty sure sign of detonation. Bad AFR our improper timing is typically the cause.

Switch to a 93 tune, change your plugs and see if your problem goes away. If so it's the e30 mix or tune.

Ironically I was getting misfires on the stock tune. Haven't had any since I tuned it.
