I believe the Ford Performance kits are only warrantied if you have them installed at a Ford dealer, and it replaces your 5 year powertrain with a 3 year one through Ford Performance. So if I had one installed this spring, I would only have a few months coverage until the 3 year warranty expired in July, which would be the 3rd year since I bought the car. So basically with either setup I wouldn't have a powertrain warranty and at that point I'd rather have an aftermarket tune which makes more power. If my car was newer I would consider one.Why not go with the PP3 from Ford Performance?
It may be a little more money than most others but it does not affect your current Ford warranty.
