I do have experience with SCT and while it isn't perfect IMO it gets the job done. It's biggest advantage is being able to run a tune from anybody instead of just Lund.
This is truly something I considered. Then I got a sub-par tune from a vendor/tuner other than Lund back in February. My dyno numbers over stock were a joke compared to their advertised claims. When I called them on it, I got a bunch of excuses and further subpar revisions.

I switched to Lund in April and for me it was a game changer. So being locked into a device that only supports their tunes? No biggie. Also, while my experience with SCT was short lived, I have almost a decade of experience with the Cobb Accessport. When I purchase the SCT X4, I was expecting a user experience on par with the Accessport V3 and was disappointed. The nGauge comes a lot closer to that. This is all personal preference though.
