What is the part number in the system ?That is the number stamped on the part, which is the manufacturing number. Not the part number in the system.
I'm wondering the same about that and again the fact that Ford Performance is listing a part that only seems to be for a certain year (Gen) Coyote ... why?Replaces KR3Z-6306-A
What about KR3Z-6306-AA
By no means am I trying to split hairs over A vs AA.
I'll wager the OP's crank sprocket fractured at factory test startup or before.
With the sprocket held in place by the harmonic dampener hub I think this motor would've kept running for many miles. If the oil was changed by anyone else the OP wouldn't be any wiser to the condition of a fractured sprocket. Makes a person wonder just how isolated is this problem ?
My question to all readers, Is there a geometric difference in this crank sprocket from 2015 to date ?
Boundary and MMR doesn't list it as unique.
What is the part number in the system ?
You lost me.KR3Z-6306-B
"Keep moving along, nothing to see here." "We're beholden to Wall St. share holders"I would also wonder if during assembly of that engine if that damage happened during install of the sprocket and WAS visible, if the engine builder just said "f-it" and buttoned it up as is...
There are 3 crank sprockets listed that I can findYou lost me.
YIKES !!!Got my car back today. The service writer said another one came in earlier this week with the same problem as mine but worse. Check your oil!
Hello; I may have missed it so will ask again. Did you ever determine if the metal gear tooth is ferrous ( magnetic). I ask because that would help others to find ant metal bits. I do not know if the drain plugs have small magnets built it. Some cars do. If magnetic the bits will accumulate at the drain plug.Got my car back today. The service writer said another one came in earlier this week with the same problem as mine but worse. Check your oil!
An oil catch can screen. Magnetic drain plug. How do you guys find stuff like this in your oil? I change mine at work and it just goes down our oil change tank. But I feel like maybe I should be doing mine different.
I would have asked the dealer if you could pay more for an Aluminator short block. If that had let go it would have gotten a long block due to valves hitting pistons.
Idaho, calling it like a boss. That's a tooth for sure. Gt350?Come on man, this is 2021. Post a decent close up of the piece in focus. The ones you posted are blurry, except for the first pic that is grainy, and it's hard to tell what the piece is in that one as well.
I've never seen anything like this drain out of an oil pan - I hope it's nothing serious. Is it magnetic?
Please post an update and resolution on this. I wonder how many oil changes get done at shops and owners aren't notified or if the mechanic doesn't even notice.Hey guys, so after I changed my oil today I found this rather large chunk of metal in the drain pan. The car has 10k miles and it's the second oil change. Should I be worried about this?
