Hi all,

Have installed the header, (mechanic did the job) it fits well but the right side was hard to install. No enough clearance to install it easily, he has to remove stud/screw from the cylinder head. The other thing is the clearance with the intermediate steering shaft, here also the clearance is very poor, no more than 2 millimetres, and at some revs I can feel some vibration in the steering wheel, that's not a big issue, I will rework the shaft, just few millimetres to had enough clearance or maybe change it for a universal shaft, a thinner one ...

From engine reaction it changes a lot, can noticed the power added to the coyote.
Sound is loud but from inside it is not that loud. Big roar when going up in revs.

That's all for the report lol

Cheers

Just purchased OBX hi flow catted version off wally world for $280 shipped to my door. Fit was very tight but made it work. At that price i am seriously contemplating purchasing a back up set. Worth every penny. Welds were quality. Overall very good quality. Band clamps were absolute trash. Felt like i robbed somebody at that price.

Wally world? Where I am from, that means Wal-Mart. Are they selling headers now? The pricing seems consistent.

Walmart.com has sellers that have everything nowadays. Basically the same online marketplace as Amazon

Yes sir, Walmart. Drop shipped from Advanced Manufacturing Group LLC aka OBX motorsports. Again best $280 i ever spent, bought a second set of maximizers (resonated non cat version) for $250 to my door.

The cats alone cost that much. Or should have. Now marked down to $202

How many HP did you lose?

My impression is that retail markup from distributior is 30-50pct and factory to distributor is about 150-200pct.

I've always said we are paying for equal length tuned headers and getting mass produced crap. This kinda proves my point.

Seriously what are they 20ga? 304 stainless or mild steel?

I think a quality 16ga 304 should sell for 5 to 600 and still have a decent profit margin. Toss in the cheapest cat you can find, to keep the eco police happy, and that would add another 1 to 200.

Material claims from china are as reliable as Japanese (Hitachi?) steel certs...

Even if the tubing is sound, I have to wonder at the welds at the head.

Race car 20 ga is fine. Street car I want 14 or 12 ga. I hate header tick driving down the freeway.

Not sure about Jap certs but I'd love to have a real Japanese folded sword. I think that is the proper term?
