About three weeks ago i ordered a set of OBX headers from ebay due to the positive feedback iv seen about them. Received the headers very nicely packed however Fedex always finds a way to tear up boxes . Upon further inspection of all the welds i found a few spot that looked unfinished and the big shocker which was the headers flange to primary tube welds had unfinished welds on both sides. I tested for leaks using w40 and spraying directly into the unfinished welds and fluid could be seen coming out the opposite side. Asides from that the quality of the tubes were on point. It was really a shame that they had come this way. I decided to return these and went with a set of TSP just to get away from any possible issue that may come up during or after install because of the lack of quality control. Enjoy the pics

horror story would have been you put them on by yourself on jack stands during winter only to realize then that the welds were incomplete and you have exhaust leaks everywhere. this was just a good catch lol

im just giving you a hard time and no that didnt exactly happen to me but i did reuse the stock headers studs and the farthest rear stud ended up touching a primary after everything was tightened down so i did have to drop the driver side header to replace the one stud, that sucked.

Damn that’s a big flaw. The quality control guy must’ve been at lunch when that set passed through.

Lol this is why u buy quality... Yeah sometimes its just better to spend the money man. I mean u paid 30k+ for the car why not buy good stuff from the get go vs take a chance on low quality unproven stuff.

Glad you caught it early, a lot of guys are putting cheap uncatted headers on their cars and breathing in all the nox and fumes daily. That shit will catch up to you in the long run. COPD is no joke...

IMHO, tsp is the way to go. Quality is always spot on, and they don't break the bank, and you know you are getting a good set of headers. Fleabay scares me LoL
