Mountain driving is so fun, just have to be careful of other drivers and road conditions so you don't end up at the bottom of a ditch.
...Or get pulled over all the time.

I had lots of fun in the mountains, when I was stationed in New Mexico.

The last time I got pulled over there, the cop wrote me a ticket for 58 in a 45 zone.
He measured my speed with radar, on a curve and I know that makes a radar gun less accurate.
Nevertheless, I resisted my impulse to go "Bullshit, I was going 65." 🔇😅

Wyoming has more cows than people. Im not super worried about cops.

And they don't moooove :(
Nope. Cows there, and geese here, just assume you won't hit them. 😕

I've been told: Don't honk at cows, and don't put your hand out the window and bang on your door. That's likely how their owner calls them to eat.

But you might get them out of the road if you approach on foot, waving your arms and shouting at them.
I've seen someone do it, but never tried it myself.

Get yourself a nice radar detector. It will pick up the radar signal bouncing around in the canyons, long before the cop gets a valid return. Usually, mine will pick them up at least 2 turns before I see them lurking in the shadows. Some of those small mountain community cops have nothing better to do than hand out speeding tickets

and Deer. Lots and lots of deer that will simply just stare at you as they come through your windshield.

Deer here too. When they see you coming, they just have to get to the other side of the road.

Issue with this idea is that VDM out of GT500 is not going to work in your car and GT500 dampers are valved differently than stock GT ones (but the valving or current / damping force isn't exactly publicly available).

So your stock VDM calibration is mismatched to the GT500 dampers, GT500 VDM won't work. DSC is an option if you know what you're doing.

@TeeLew can probably add to this discussion with more knowledge than me.
