Just ordered the Magnaflow competition axle back system for my 15 GT. On sale for $629 with free shipping from RPI Designs. Can't wait to get this installed and listen to the real 5.0 beast.

Haven't seen anyone go this route yet...post up videos for sure please!

Think this is my second choice exhaust....first one is Roush axle-back. I can get the Roush for $475 shipped but it isn't available yet...told by Roush it'll be ready by end of December but my vendor said he heard March! May go with Magnaflow if March is really what it comes down to.

I am afraid to do a cat-back due to some systems showing signs of drone, and though the suitcase is heavy, it apparently does its job well.

CJ Pony Parts has a very good 6+ min video on the installation of this system. I would have gone with them but they are out of stock and their's were almost $200 more than RPI. RPI is shipping my system out today with Fed Ex.

Update. CJ is now showing back in stock and their cost is $760.

Yeah I do remember seeing that video now. Still wouldn't mind seeing more videos!

I still like the sound of the Roush better....I think the Magnaflow axle-back may be slightly too quiet for me (I know...I can't be pleased! :D) I do like that the Magnaflow is 3" pipe, and goes all the way next to the axle. I would say the Roush is technically not even an Axle-back (and neither are the FRPP ones) as they only have the one bend then connect. You then see the clamps from behind the car in those plus they appear to be the same as stock 2.5" piping (not that you probably get any performance from going to 3" on an axle-back, but it does look meaner! :headbang:) But on the other hand the Roush is significantly cheaper....

$600+ for ABs?! GT350 axleback takeoffs can't come soon enough. I remember when the GT500 ABs could be had, shipped, under $300... Resonator delete and you're good to go.

Yeah it's ridiculous...all you get is a little pipe, mufflers and tips...hanger rods welded in correct location I guess but still....:frusty: FRPP Axle-backs are over $800!

That's why I'm going with Roush...$475 shipped is a decent deal. Someone else on here welded in their own Spintech mufflers...the link he sent showed the mufflers at $199 each....plus cost of tips, welding, etc.....so I guess the Roush isn't a bad deal!
