Thinking of doing a Mach One front end to my GT.

Is there anything other than the body parts that would be needed? Is there any BS with the wiring harness? And does a 18+ have a different radiator support?

Just the body parts, everything else is the same.

But TBH this seems like a very expensive swap. Between the fenders, hood, bumper, headlights and the panels underneath plus paint you're probably looking at $5000+. I bet some company will come out with a 15-17 bumper in the Mach style.

https://777performance.com/collecti...ts/mach-1-front-fascia?variant=41083076575371 these guys have been teasing it for the 15-17 for last couple months, seems it’s available for preorder now. Really interested how it ends up turning out on gen 2s

I'll rather do the whole front end OEM.

Every single aftermarket OEM style looks bad. Like every GT350 bumper looks bad from every maker, 15 style or 18 style. Maybe they're not allowed to make it exact, but the difference is enough that I don't consider them.

they are not allowed to make a exact copy. that's why they all say gt350 style or inspired but not exact

It's going to be the same for that Mach style then. The air ducts or something will be off. Always is.

Plus IDK if Mach would look right without the 18+ lower headlights, as opposed to the more upright 15-17.

IIRC, the 2018+ front core support, the headlight panel, and the inner fender aprons are different from the 2015-2017, because the front support and aprons were designed for the tapered down 2018+ hood and fenders.

To do what you want to do, as others have said it's not going to be a cheap swap. You can try to source the original body panels and parts on LKQ, eBay, this forum, and/or multiple online recycler/salvage facilities that may have M1's in their inventory.

Reach out to Parts Farm and see what they have; they usually sell a lot of Mustang parts.

Why not sell the current ride and hop into a Mach 1? Is that not an option? If you search CarGurus by opening it up to a Nationwide search, you'll see M1's are coming down in price (new and used) and there's many of them listed.

Welp, looking further into this, I think the only option is to do the front end.

That MP concepts isn't even close. It's literally a GT350 style bumper with a Mach One style grille.

I would do the Anderson concepts TT style, but the built-in grille is a deal breaker, because how would you even black it out?

And yesterday pulled the car out for the first time in months due to a weather break, and hit pothole pulling into gas station it literally made no sense where this thing was. Killed the bumper tabs, so it goes from a want to a need. Sweet.

I looked into doing this exact thing to my 2021 GT - 10% over cost, it's FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS - that's parts only, no labor, no paint, nothing....take that amount of money, put it down on an actual Mach would be a better move.

Well.....no, it's not a need, it's still a want.

You're going through a lot of mental gymnastics to justify spending the thousand of dollars it will cost, but in the end I'd suggest you really consider if it wouldn't be better to just buy a Mach 1.

I really don't think you're going to end up with the results you're expecting.

Yes. Let me buy a whole $55,000 car for the front swap.

That's quite unreasonable. IF I were going to get a different Mustang, it would be a GT350, but I'm not in that camp to trade in an owned car for the same bodystyle to go back into debt. Then, I have to undo my mods as well.

I saw people trading in their 18 Camaro SS for a 22, or their 19 GT base for a 22 GT Premium. I don't get it. I'm not losing money on the same bodystyle, then still having to modify it from bone stock again.

If I get out of this Mustang and put it down on a car it will be a C7Z or a 718.

This post wasn't asking if I should, in the first place. Aside from the bumper itself, the parts can come from a partout Ecoboost for all I care. If I had listened to the forum, I wouldn't have done a GT350 cluster either, because of all of the supposed issues. Here mine is working with the correct mileage, not having to do all the extra BS people claimed you would.

I really don't think you're going to end up with the results you're expecting.
I'm expecting an S550 with a Mach One front end.

It's going to cost $10K to do the front end swap, probably more.

Take what you can get out of your car, add $10K to that number, and tell us if that's getting you close to a Mach 1.

Of course with what you've done to your Mustang, the value might be pretty low. Those mods would be big liabilities in a sale.

What if one wanted to put a non-Mach 1 18+ regular ol' doghouse on a '15-'17? Sounds like the fenders, hood, and bumper cover just don't bolt on?
I'm guessing the front core support and headlight panel are welded in and not bolt on either?
(My reasons for wanting to do this is I like alot more aspects of the '15-'17, but wifey likes the 18+ headlights and lower bumper cover design. Gotta keep the honeys happy, you know...)

If that pot hole is on a public street the county or whoever maintains it is liable for your damages. At least it is that way in KY.
