My apologies. I forgot: there are two wing types. And anyone have the code or reference for buy it? My dealer have one but it's gloss black and he want to painted it.
Check. Thanks. All Mach 1’s have magnetic colored rear spoilers.
What is your source on this one? Multiple vendors that deal directly with Ford have verified that both versions are painted Ford's Magnetic Grey (5FM6 or J7) and utilize a specific grey base and satin clear. The OEM spoilers on both the Handling Pack and base Machs have paint code tags under the spoilers that indicate such.My apologies. I forgot: there are two wing types.
There is a Handling Pack (HP) wing, the "high" wing, which is a gun metal color.
There is also the non-HP wing, the "low" wing, which is the lower, traditional black.
Neither wing is coated or painted.
Reads like you are wanting the "high" wing. Sorry, I do not have the PN#, but if you describe as above, the supporting dealer should be able to search on "HP" and "high wing".
If your dealer has a black one, it is the "low" wing.
I think my low spoiler it's not painted, but i'm not sure at all. How can i know it?What is your source on this one? It's High, but glossy blackIf your dealer has a black one, it is the "low" wing.
Unless Ford has changed how they were making them less than a year ago, they were simply using the GT350/GT500 high wing (Handling Pack) or the old GT Performance Pack 2 low lip spoilers (non- Handling Pack). You can buy each in gloss black, which is their standard color; however, Ford paints them when used on the Machs.I think my low spoiler it's not painted, but i'm not sure at all. How can i know it?
If the HP wing comes in glossy black are any problem if the dealer paint it in grey?
Ok! if i understand all rear wings HP or not HP are painted in grey, are nor Grey plastic, correct?Unless Ford has changed how they were making them less than a year ago, they were simply using the GT350/GT500 high wing (Handling Pack) or the old GT Performance Pack 2 low lip spoilers (non- Handling Pack). Yes, all rear spoilers are painted by Ford, but only for use on the Mach 1s. You could not buy them painted that way, but rather only in gloss black. As of several months ago, Ford had them available painted for very direct companies that they dealt with. For example, Herrod Performance in Australia verified that Ford paints them for Herrod, but that the spoilers were not available that way from US dealers or vendors. Even body shops here in the US were having to paint them on early wrecked Machs, although that may have changed. As of a couple months ago, Ford did not even have a part number available for the Mach-specific painted version. Even Ford parts sites and dealer's service departments that could look up the parts showed the number for the gloss black versions as being Mach 1 parts, which is obviously incorrect. That may have changed by now.Ok! if i understand all rear wings HP or not HP are painted in grey, are nor Grey plastic, correct?
