Can someone do me a huge favor and measure the rear & side Mach 1 badges? My Mach 1 has a black horse on the rear trunk panel and I wanted to put the Mach 1 emblem back on there as it came from the factory. Previous owner must've ripped off the trunk emblem and stuck on the black horse. I'm hoping I can get the horse off and install one of the fender emblems on the rear instead of buying a whole new panel.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

It appears that yes, they are different sizes. Photos attached.

I believe the rear logo is flat, while the fender one is curved along the fender. I am also surprised you can remove the rear one, it looked like it is glued (or fused) to the panel.

I was just looking at the back panel on my car and it appears to be the Ford blank unit with a black pony emblem stuck to it. The panel has the long indentions on either side of the pony. The OEM Mach 1 rear panel is flat all the way across.

Do you have a pic of the black pony on yours? I have been debating doing that myself or atleast was curious. What others said the side/rear are different sizes.

Previous owner might have just wanted it changed. I believe you can buy the black pony version all as one piece. I researched it but i didn't like the lines on the side.

I have a love/hate with the mach 1 logo. Its font is a bit old school (so is the ford script) so i don't feel its as modern as it should be compared to the rest of the car's design.

Its first world problems but I had my fender logos removed and it cleaned up the side a lot in my opinion. I was curious of what a flat black pony would like on the gloss panel for the mach 1. Also thought of blacking out the mach 1 logo as that could be cool to.

That decklid is not from a Mach 1. We don't have those lines. So personal choice or damaged.

The car had 900 miles when I bought it. The car came with Sidestripes pulled and the rear bumper red lights were swapped for black ones. Original reds were in the trunk. I guess the deck lid plastic piece could’ve been replaced due to some damage or something? Fortunately, I see absolutely no signs of bodywork anywhere on the car. The other weird thing, the car has nitto 555 on it and not the ps2’s on the original mach 1 rims. I’ve bought a bunch of cars over the years, the car shows like it is brand spanking new. Zero discoloration on the exhaust and not a drop of dirt anywhere on the undercarriage. It’s a head scratcher for sure. That’s why I ordered new side stripes and plan to go back to the original deck lid panel.

I think our MACH 1 rear badge comes with the decklid.
