Maybe Wengerd can provide the exact email correspondence? 😜
Seems like the professional way to do things.

Customers who throw the "I'll make sure and let everyone know" if they don't get exactly their way or exactly what they ask for aren't the type of customers we want.

We will not offer our services to those who still have the mentality of a 5th grader throwing tantrums when they don't get exactly what they asked for and make threats about what they will do if they don't get their way...

We will literally decline our services...
Dude, looking back , I should not of said that. I was getting frustrated with our emails because you just couldn’t answer my questions, seemed like you didn’t care to earn my business but you poke around on the forum to get business.
On another tuner forum u popped up and I asked you to explain what your tune does for the A10 and guess what, no response. So this is why i emailed you.
In my opinion, some vendors are better than others in the way they handle their customers.
I gave my experience and you got butt hurt…
Don’t be so thin skinned man.

Seems to me your the one acting like a 5th grader who just lost a lollipop. All I ever said was " never got a response from my email " . Then you and a few of your fans started yelling troll. Nuff said right there.

You are saying i am responsible for what customers say? Possibly the most ridiculous thing i have heard this year...

All that came from me is we will not entertain trolls...

Thats not something most people would get hurt about as nobody was called a troll... Only stated we will not entertain trolls...

You can take that how you like...

Fortunately many of us tuners share a "Do not do business with list" with each other.

Dude, that’s a really funny threat.
Every tuner I’ve talked to would love taking business from other tuners. Some brag about getting the business of other tuners dissatisfied customers.
Keep digging the hole man, show us your true colors and how great you are to communicate with.
I hope you’re the owner because if you were my employee, I’d fire your ass!

Can the auto be tuned on its own?
Yes, you can tune either the engine and trans, engine only or trans only.

Wengerd, don't feed the trolls.

This thread is artifact for one of the reasons that "we only communicate via email" is not a good way to go about things.

It seems like all of it is over some simple misunderstandings that I'm speculating WOULD NOT be the case if it was a phone conversation.

Tuning isn't a simple sales transaction. I get the need to record and document everything (for later reference) but there are some things and some complexities with what a car is doing (but shouldn't be) or what it isn't doing (but should be) what you've done to the car or needs to be done, etc, etc. It's complex. It's not like trying to travel to the moon, but imagine trying to manage the design for a new addition on your house and the architect only communicates via email.

I realize that economies of scale and time/availability force big tuners to go that route, but the whole hard and fast rule doesn't work for very "custom" tuning needs.

There's an old adage in my industry, never write an email when you can speak on the phone and never speak on the phone when you can speak in person. 80% of human communication is non-verbal. So we're already down to a fraction of effectiveness when writing (without even speaking). There's no tone in emails and you can accomplish 10 times more in a 5 minute phone call than you can exchanging a dozen emails.

I get the whole log exchange thing. So maybe the happy medium would be, a default/preference to communicate via email and under certain cases, a phone call when necessary. There are actually services that can obscure/randomize a phone number (and the tuner could even call the customer from that service) if the concern is their number getting out and then getting bombarded with endless phone calls.

This is why I recommend going with someone local and accessible if you have anything other than a "Headers/Intake" type canned tune.

Modern technology is great, but it's nearly killing the dying form of human interaction and communication. I guess I'm a crusty old dinosaur cause "I'm not interested in 100 text exchanges with you, i'd rather have a 30 second phone conversation" seems outdated these days.

i cannot speak to anything regarding lund tuning as I have never used them but I have a Livernois tune on my 19 GT with A10. I have been very happy with it. I also never had any issues or complaints with jerkiness or snappy shifting to begin with, however. all the issues people complain about, I have never experienced. The livernois tune makes the trans shift more aggressively and i enjoy it more. I would imagine as far as tuning goes for the A10, it's fairly consistent whether it's livernois, lund, or another reputable tuner.

The one and only thing ive noticed is that occasionally I end up with a sometimes jerky low speed drive which is probably more related to throttle response. the throttle response seems improved when I am on the livernois tune, which overall is good and a definite improvement, yet sometimes when I am driving slowly down the block i find myself jerking it a little bit. Ive concluded this is more likely from me not adjusting properly to the increased throttle response and sensitivity. again, not a negative of the tune and not the fault of livernois by any means, just the nature of the beast and having a better throttle response. this might be the only thing in my experience that affect your driving experience with a tune/tuned A10. it's maybe less dramatic with a manual and working the clutch yourself. it is certainly not enough to make me hold back from getting or using a tune.
