What do they call that converter you have? I have a 245mm 4C as I was previously centri, Hoping I can get away with it with my turbos but well see... It stalls to like 34-3600..
Check out Lund's post on Facebook. Appears trans brake and 2step is what caused that car to recently wreck at the track due to throttle hanging. They posted a fixI have it installed i just have not used it. I'm going this weekend and giving it a try. I am worried about the diff. I do have the cast diff and upgraded bolts.
We will see how the car acts at first on the 4C and possibly a 2 step, will likely end up changing though..Most likely you will have to go to the larger stall which is the 258. I would call Circle d and talk to them.
I am curious how it will do. I think you need the larger converter because it makes more power down low and it helps it build boost on the line. You might as well try it though. I think they will switch it to the larger style at Circle d but you would be better off selling yours. We will see how the car acts at first on the 4C and possibly a 2 step, will likely end up changing though..
Says sleeved block on his sig.Congrats, you still running the stock longblock? Did ken remote tune the car or dyno tune?
Hey man.It is a sleeved motor with 11.5-1 compression. I learned the HARD way pushing stock block.
It has a best of 1.31 sixty on the foot brake. It should go 8.6 pretty easy on the foot brake and that's as far as I'm pushing. I think the stock manual diff is very close to failure at those HP and sixty foot levels. I wanted a legit 8 second street car and I'm stopping there!
This is pump e85 only. I roll to the track hold the brake and run 8's and drive home. The next level is very expensive with all the required safety and I would like to build a dedicated race car to run at those levels.
