I appreciate the responses everybody. It wasn’t my intentions to cause arguments anywhere, but as usual with researching anything on the internet, the further you go, sometimes the more confusing it gets. This Mach1 is my first Mustang I’ve ever owned (I’ve wanted one since my teenage years) I finally have one and I definitely don’t want to mess it up. I just would like it to sit a little lower. I’m still unsure whether it’s even worth it though.

I’m new here. And I need advice please. I’ve searched and can’t find a direct answer to my question. I have recently bought a 2023 Mach 1 and I want to lower it to get rid of the wheel gap. I don’t track the car at all and don’t plan to. I’m looking at Steeda progressives or Eibach Pros. I’ve watched YouTube videos and have searched on here. Some guys say that you have to have camber plates/ bolts, etc. etc. Others in comments say that a good alignment shop can align it with just installing the springs. Do I need all that? Or can I just install the springs, get it aligned, and I’m good? Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but I haven’t found a thread discussing this. Thanks to anyone who can help
I went with Steeda Ultimate dual rate and love the ride. It does not lower as far as other lowering springs but I didn't want to add issues. YES, I had to install Camber/Caster plates up front and I already had rear adjustable camber links. BUT, I cannot say definitively if having camber plates was 100% necessary due to already having them. I am sure someone who has installed lowering springs on a stock suspension can tell you yes or no. Because you "MUST" do a four wheel alignment after lowering.
I have Magneride and using the steeda Ultimate dual rate made for the Magneride was a must. Good Luck

I would say its worth it. There are two schools of thought- do it well enough for your use, or do it to engineered theoretical perfection.

the reality is on paper your supposed to fix all the geometry.

in reality in the world, lower the car 1” and the car will be fine. Align it into spec, even better. You arent a f1 driver on a turn heavy track, you will hardly feel the problems of not theoretically fixing every geometry of the cars suspension, the lowering of center of gravity will make the car feel better than before, fixing the alignment will make it better than before.

you can buy springs, align it, and see if your happy or if you need more. But ive lowered 3 personal cars, 2 friends cars, they never needed more than springs + sometimes something to fix the camber like camber bolts or etc

On normal gt, i was only able to get -2.5 deg camber in the front, a camber bolt would fix everything or the tophats

I cannot belive the mustang does not have camber bolts, thats just cheap. But; I have seen on this forum where people have made adjustable strut camber ovaled bolts and I guess they did the job. If money was an issue, I would have modified and or found a camber bolt which would work with our struts.

The site I was shopping for springs on has both plates and the bolts. The bolts weren’t expensive at all. The plates aren’t really that bad. When I get the springs, I may just pick up a set of the bolts just to have them if necessary

Don’t overthink this. The one dude on here is out of his mind telling you that you need new shocks and struts amongst other things. It makes zero sense to me and I am never the one to cheap out on stuff or take short cuts. I lowered my Mach 1 on the Steeda Progressives and the ride height was great, no impact to ride quality and no issues with the alignment. If you are super worried about it I can sell you my Ford Camber plates as well since I am not using them.

This is my car on the Sport Springs.

This is it on its new setup with the Steeda Dual Rate springs.

That looks sweet. Thanks. I do have a tendency to over think things LOL. It’s just that it’s my first Mustang, it’s really nice, and was a little on the expensive side (at least for my budget) and the last thing I want to do is screw it up. You have the look I’m wanting to go for though. Nice car my man!!

Totally get it and I wouldn’t be steering your wrong. Do what you are comfortable with, just trying to get you where you need to be without wasting a bunch of money needlessly.

Where are you located?

Damn I was going to say I would help you with the install if you were closer.
LOL. Yeah I’ma couple minutes away from Chicago. I appreciate it though. How would you prefer to be paid for the springs? VENMO or something like that? I’m 54 and not really up to speed on all the ways to pay these days. My wife has used VENMO so I know that one sort of

Replacing your magneride dampers as one guy recommended would be screwing it up. Installing appropriate springs designed for those dampers is the ticket. Since your Mach 1 isn't a handling pkg car, camber plates or bolts are a good idea.

Ok. When you get the time see if you can get a quote on shipping. I’ll have my wife help me set up Venmo tonight and I’ll get you paid. I think I’m gonna take the leap
