I absolutely love my 16 GTPP. I've not been in love or truly excited about a car since I sold my built 03 Lightning.
It's a great driving car, looks steller, good value for the money in comparison to other manufacturers equivalent and most importantly it has a aftermarket that's amazing and is growing.
Does is fair less then steller vs the new camaro?.. sure. I don't track my car, I do occasionally drag race. I bought the car with the intention of supercharging it. I even got the weak ass M6 knowing that one day I would need to get a magnum xl or something like it.
Did I mention I was long time GM fan boy? Fbodys, vette, CTS V and countless others. And yet I'd still choose this current S550 over the new Camaro.
If you like gm... go buy one, enjoy it and I hope you fall in love with it as that's what it is all about.

Yeah I paid it off and had to dd it for 4 years before I had enough money to get this. Put over 100k miles on it but it paid off in the end. A lot of people regret getting rid of them, however my mustang is the first thing I have driven that is at least as much fun. You have a worthy car.

Congrats on your new car and enjoy it. But don't be in 'love' with a cold piece of iron.
A car has no heart, it is just piece of heartless iron.

I am surprised at how much I like this car... I am also a GM/LS motor vette guy and while this car is not replacing the vette for me, it seriously changed my take on Ford and mustang!

congrats! love it. love it deeply, sing to it, woo it, dream of it, buy it things...

i took a 10 min ride in a base 16 gt after i decided to trade in my '13 gt and know it's going to be awesome. didn't think the "feel" would be that much different, but it was. plus i got the performance pack.

as far as this car vs. that car, spend enough time at a track and you'll realize any car can be made fast. it just comes down to that emotional experiential intangible that makes you look back at your car after you've parked it and walked a few paces EVERY TIME for years... this is my mustang, there are many like it, but this one is mine... LOL

I know how you feel sick03L. Have had my base black GTPP for nearly 6 months and I love the car just as much as day one. In my area the car is freakin rare so thats a plus. Will still feel like a brand new car next year too. It is so awesome to watch peoples reactions to the car. The gt power band is great and I use it often to put great distance on curious tailgaters. Such a sleek ride.
Enjoy your 2016.!!

I am convinced the GT PP is the best bang for the buck.

Glad you joined the crowd! Most everyone buying a GT has ordered the Perf Pack. I would also think many folks stepped up to the GT so they could be able to order the performance pack. It is a no brainer and irresistible.

I did my first autocross day yesterday with my '15 GT PP. Now, this was in novice class so there's a LOT of driver differential. However, the one '15 GT without PP there was running several seconds slower than I was, and appeared to have much more body roll.

But then again, novice class. I did a ride-along with an instructor who bested my best lap time by .400 -- driving a haggard, stock Prius.
